The shnitzel and red cabbage they serve is on point! We also enjoyed the spaetzle (very dry if order without the cheese). They really know what they are doing when it comes to texture and balance. We have ordered this dish before and the first time we did not get pickles. It was a great addition to the dish and really added great acidity. The 4 stars instead of 5 is because the potatoes were much bigger last time and cooked perfectly. This time around they were small and dried out. The portions are large, the musician provides a nice ambiance without being too loud, and we have not had an issue getting a lot minute table on weekends.
My sea food risotto was tasty but no sea food . Shame I've been a few times had family parties there tonight wasnt a winner for us . Beef stroganoff usually has nice chunks of tender filet tonight it was sliced with penne pasta . A little out of sorts. Staff as always a solid ten
Food has changed over time.
Great service. Awesome food. Surprised that it wasn't busier for lunch. I've been there before and had a long wait without reservations. This time, we were their only customers.
Has a surprisingly limited array of wines for a Wine Bar. And they were out of Albariño, my go to. Nice spot for dinner but cost was not worth the experience.
This is a delightful place where e food and service are superb. It is close to home and we dine in usually on special occasions. Sometimes there is live music provided by an easy to listen to piano player with a nice voice. It is just the right volume to enjoy if you are inclined without impeding conversation.

It was a slow Wednesday evening with a dozen or so separate tables being served. So, it was quiet. That is a bit at odds with the disappearing table server who was excellent and proficient when he showed up. We found ourselves looking for him at every juncture at dinner - to take drink orders, to take food orders, to bring a check. So the rating of "GOOD" not excellent because he was good, but apparently had more tables than he could timely attend to that evening. The food was superior as always. This would not deter me from going back and it is the first time it has happened to us at this restaurant
Delightful dining experience, as usual! Excellent service, and the food was absolutely delish. Highly recommend.
Appreciate the old world flavors and attention to detail at this quaint, intimate restaurant. They took very good care of my dietary restrictions, while still providing a delicious meal. And the piano player adds a lot to the nice ambiance here.

Good European (Austrian, Danish) fare, especially soups.

Mediocre food , house wine tastes like vinegar, expensive. Perhaps they changed management who lowered the food quality, and they definitely changed chefs. Will not be back.
Just an average experience with slightly above average food. I kind of expected more from this place. The wiener Schnitlze was too thick & a bit tough. The red cabbage was very sweet & the spaetzle was kind of bland. So far nobody beats Checkers Old Muncheon for German fare. I had the seafood risotto which as very good but I kind of expected more for the price. The soft pretzel bites with beer cheese were good.

Food was cold with not a lot of flavor. Cocktails were good and desserts were adequate.
