This is the cleanest club I've ever been to, even the bathrooms were pristine. There weren't a lot of people there, but the people that were there were very friendly, and I don't like big crowds anyway so it was perfect for me. The music was great, they actually played really good throwback songs instead of the same crappy remixes I hear at other clubs. $20 entrance fee kinda sucked but I liked how employees managed the bathrooms so no one could cut or be aggressive in line. They also put wrist bands on people 21+ so that they knew who could drink which was good :-)
The DJ at 509 Lounge had no sense of crowd engagement. The music selection was uninspiring, and the transitions were poorly executed. It felt like a monotonous playlist rather than a dynamic and energizing set.
