I love how they make the sushi rot in front of you well also having floating sushi boat going around the restaurant for people to pick out what they want is a really nice touch. Food is always amazing.

Absolutely amazing experience! The sushi was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every bite tasted authentic and carefully prepared. The hibachi was equally impressive—perfectly cooked, delicious, and entertaining to watch.
The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome from the moment we walked in. The restaurant had a clean and inviting atmosphere that truly reflected an authentic Japanese dining experience.
If you’re looking for high-quality sushi and authentic hibachi, this is definitely the place to visit. I highly recommend it and will be coming back again!

First ..the salad was horrible. Yes the salad. How do you mess up salad?! The the clear soup with onion was dark. And btw it was Salty. Really the soup.. So I got up and left because if the soup and salad was bad...don't want the Entree. Never been to a Japanese restaurant as bad as this one.

It was our first time to visit. Service was good. Quality of sushi was decent (sushi rice was mushy) but we enjoyed watching sushi on floating boats!

Recommended dishes: Sushi on a Boat
The service was good. Waitress was attentive and provided refills in a timely manner. We had three sushi rolls (dynamite, rainbow, and Hawaii). Dynamite roll was overcooked and found a spine one of the rolls. The cooked salmon on the dynamite roll was brown and didn’t taste fresh. The end of the dynamite roll did not have any edible items, just the outer crunch layer. The rainbow roll was also had spine and did no have great white tail fish.

Sakana Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Daytona Beach. From the moment we walked in, the staff was friendly and welcoming.
The sushi was fresh and beautifully presented (highly recommend the David’s Special Roll!). The portions are generous, and you can really tell they use high quality ingredients. Everything I ate was DELICIOUS!
The atmosphere is lively without being too loud, perfect for both date nights and family dinners. Everything—from the food to the service—was outstanding. If you’re in Daytona Beach and craving great sushi or a fun hibachi experience, Sakana is a must-visit!
