Wanted something nice for our anniversary. Sitting outside next to the ocean viewing a launch from cape Canaveral while dining should have made it special. Our server was also super. The menu and wine list not so much. I should have realized when we got there and there were no other diners in sight. What we did order was very good but just not enough variety on the menu and if you like wine as we do, a list with more than 3 different varietals would be good.

Our server was very accommodating despite the fact that she was assigned to guest on the outside patio and inside, on the opposite side of the restaurant near the kitchen. In addition, my husband ordered the only steak entree on the menu, but the steak was too tough to eat. The server was very understanding and tried to accommodate us.

Hotel restaurants can be a disappointment but this was a wonderful surprise. A wide variety of seafood, steaks, sandwiches and salads will surely provide enough choice for any group. Our Cajun mahi mahi was moist and excellently seasoned. The croissant beignets were a treat. Tanisha was a personable, entertaining and helpful server. As for ambience, it's bit bright, needs some small decor additions to cut the white stone walls, columns, lighting shades and very high ceiling

The food was beyond amazing!!! I had the seafood bisque and wagyu burger and it was so incredible. The service was excellent so friendly and helpful. My friends food was great. Service fast. Of all of our meals in Daytona this was by far the best.

Very clean very friendly staff. Excellent waiter got everything we requested and very funny. I loved the place. If we stay at Daytona Grande Ocean Resort in Daytona Beach we will be back to the restaurant.

I recently dined at Abalone Restaurant in Daytona Beach for Thanksgiving, and I must say it was a somewhat mixed experience. Despite the anticipation of celebrating both Thanksgiving and my birthday, the initial excitement was met with a few disappointments. Despite mentioning in our reservation that it was my birthday and requesting a window seat, none of these preferences were accommodated upon our arrival. The restaurant appeared to be understaffed, with only four wait-staff managing around 10-15 tables. The food, served family-style, was traditional and tasty, yet lacked the personalized touch one would expect for a special occasion. Despite informing our waiter about my birthday, there was no acknowledgment or special mention during the meal. Compounding the experience, the seating arrangement did not align with our reservation. We were seated at a large table set for six, with no effort made to remove the excess place settings. Additionally, the promise of a window seat went unfulfilled due to tables not being cleaned or available. While I understand the challenges of working on a holiday, the overall feeling was that of a routine meal service, lacking the expected warmth and personalization for a Thanksgiving and birthday celebration. On a positive note, the staff was friendly, and we were able to take home leftovers. However, for a special occasion, the experience left much to be desired.

My wife and I traveled an hour and a half from our home in Florida to meet a friend who came two hours from another direction. We had selected the Abalone from Google Maps. What a great decision. We were delighted with all aspects. It was an ideal selection and as a result, we will be returning repeatedly. Thanks, Abalone!!

Sunday, 7 pm reservation. ONLY table there. Lights at full blast and no music at all. Lousy "ambience". Service was good, but how could it be otherwise? Drinks good, wine and a martini. Ordered $17 calamari. OK but nothing special. Just like a hundred other places. Ordered French onion soup and it was delivered with no crouton and no cheese! Waiter said it was his fault, why? With no one else in the entire room, zero ambience, and now food a gamble we left. Why risk a $150 dollar dinner here. Talked to Rob at front desk. He apologized and offered us a drink at the bar. We looked over towards the bar. Most of the chairs pulled out while they were mopping floor. Nearby another cleaner sweeping the stairs. Now I'm glad its a clean place but it was 7:30 in the evening!! Didn't want to have a drink lifting my feet and smelling mop water. We went elsewhere and enjoyed the night. Understand this was exactly our evening, no exagerations and no ill will towards the staff. you have a beautiful property and someone needs to manage it! Thanks Tom and Andrea

Beautiful view and well decorated space. Poorly managed. Did not ever get what I ordered after the first plate was returned. The service was abysmal. The remaining food was average at best. Probably best to stick with the buffet rather than ordering from the menu.

We did the family style Thanksgiving meal, we enjoyed everything. All the dishes had great flavor, and we would definitely do it again. The service itself was a little disjointed, it could've been a little bit better. It just seemed not as fluid. Like getting dishes pre-bussed etc howeverthat's not to say everybody wasn't pleasant because they were. Our waiter was very pleasant, as well as everybody else work in the room that supported them. Thank you.

We went for the family-style, Thanksgiving dinner. It was a little awkward at first, since we were one of the first early tables and I think the servers were trying to figure things out, but service, food and restaurant were all fabulous. So much food, the sides were the highlight. Eating leftovers right now as I write this. Turkey was a bit dry, but the gravy saved it. You could tell everything was fresh made from scratch. Will go back and try their regular menu.

Andre was our server and he was fabulous, as were his co-workers. We visited for Father's Day Brunch (the best we've ever been to!) and just had to come back. Since Thanksgiving wouldn't be at home we thought to come to The Abalone. Great choice...will be back very soon!

We were here on a business trip. It was a slow night due to a monsoon outside so we decided to try here so we didn't have to leave the hotel. Unfortunately, there was a very large party of about 25 so we didn't get as good of service as we should have. I ordered the Cioppino, my friend ordered the salmon, and we had beignets for dessert. What really upset me, is that I had the worst tasting bloody Mary I've ever had in my life and it was $16! I actually got up from the table to go find my server to ask him if they had any horseradish or Worchester sauce, so I could spice it up. And then he brings me the $16 bill. After I said something, he adjusted the bill to just charge me for a shot of vodka, which was appropriate. The cioppino was OK, but the salmon was amazing! Would I go back? Probably not.

The Abalone is absolutely beautiful with the most breath taking panoramic ocean view! Especially at sunset. When my friends & I walked in, the waitress was definitely giving us the up down of judgement because we were under dressed. The restaurant was completely dead at this time we were the only people coming in. The waitress was not very friendly she kind of appeared to not want to be there. My friend likes her mojitos made with sprite and the waitress told her she was needy lmao. The Surf & Turf was really good! It's a huge portion & could definitely be shared between 2 people. I loved their mashed potatoes & the filet mignon was cooked to perfection. My friends caesar salad was refreshing, it had a splash of lemon which we liked. At the end I didn't pay attention to the 18% service charge nobody told us about, I tipped $40 cash on top of that which was a little over 20% from the bill total which is where I got mad. The waitress took the cash & my friends card payment, left to run the card, then came back to the table with the receipt for the card payment & the said rudely I'll be back with change. I responded keep the change as a tip thanks. The waitress shrugged her shoulder said oh thanks and waltzed off. Once I realized I tipped on top of the automatic gratuity we weren't informed of, I just let it go I wasn't going to ask for the cash back but damn as a server is it that hard to be kind & say thank you or tell us to have a good night? I was pretty appalled by the service especially in such a nice restaurant. The beignets were mouth watering, prob the biggest hit of the night.Food I rate 10/10 , View 10/10 , Drinks 6/10 , Service 3/10 overall I rated this 3/10. If you're in customer service please be nice to your customer

Truffle fries were 10/10 Everything else was ok. I was not impressed with the food and decided not to get dessert for fear of being disappointed with that as well. Nice view of the ocean but they didn't even have unsweet tea, the most basic drink besides water for my husband. Unfortunately I don't want to return and won't recommend this place unless it's solely for their truffle fries
