Bronx Bagels and Deli is located on Powerline Road in Deerfield Beach. Owner Michael Friedman opened it about 5 years ago. Friedman moved to South Florida from the Bronx and wanted to bring with him recipes from his hometown and his love of the Yankees. You can find Bronx Bagels and Deli across the street from Quiet Waters Park. There is a small but adequate parking lot in front of the building. Their motto is "Like you used to eat in New York." As a Jersey girl, count me all in!This is a no frills deli with a Yankees baseball theme on the dining wall. Everything is made in house. There are tables and chairs if you want to eat in or they will pack it to go. You order at the counter from a reasonably priced and mouth watering menu that includes omelets, pancakes, breakfast sandwiches, salads, sandwiches, gourmet wraps named for the boroughs of New York, burgers, soups, smoked fish platters, and freshly baked goods, New York style boiled and baked bagels and bialys. The corned beef, pastrami, roast beef, and brisket are all popular choices. Once your food is ready they bring it out to you if you are sitting in the dining area. They offer all day breakfast and are open Monday-Saturday 6:30am-3pm and Sunday 7am-3pm. From the number of people lined up to order I could tell that this was going to be good.It was hard to narrow down the choices from a menu filled with favorites but I finally decided on the Mick from the Bronx Bomber's section of the menu. It was named in honor of famous Yankee center fielder, Mickey Mantle and features fresh sliced corned beef with melted swiss and sauerkraut on grilled rye. The sandwich was delicious and so large that I can only finish half. It was served with a side of hot and crispy fries. I washed it all down with my favorite Dr. Brown's Cream Soda. On the way out I had to take to go some of their excellent bagels and slice of their heavenly crumb cake that tasted just like home. I devoured every crumb.The service was so friendly and efficient, especially Ray! In addition the food is delicious and a good value. When you want an authentic New York-style breakfast or lunch, this is where to come!

I have to say, I just left there for the first time and ordered a couple of New York things, Bagel, lox and cream cheese and a pastrami on rye. When I say the food was so good I started eating the containers. The guy behind the counter was a gentleman, the place was run like a well-oiled machine and when I read the bad reviews I just don't understand it, unless they're just people you can't satisfy no matter what you do, I was married to one of those.Besides, if you don't get yelled at, how you supposed to feel like you're in the Bronx?

Very good pastrami. Everything about the sandwich was fresh. You can taste the quality of freshness in every bite. I'm here visiting a friend and will definitely be back before I return home.
Stopped in Friday about 1pm and purchased half a dozen bagels, along with some super expensive cream cheese with scallions. The next morning found all the bagels were hard as rocks and stale. Even toasting didn’t improve them. Won’t be back. On top of it, the gentleman waiting on me was rude and extremely unfriendly.

Pricing is on par with other local places, but the amount of food is more generous than the other places. Been for Breakfast and Lunch. Been wanting to write a review for quite sometime. Been here a few times, Bagels are amazing. I'm from Queens NYC. The overall service sucks. I hope they got rid of that Indian looking young female. She is the worst. No Customer Service skills, not pleasant. I came in to pick up my Cheese Burger and the Pickle was missing, came back into the store. She gave it to me in a Napkin. What kind of service is that. Her attitude sucks and she definitely not representing this business call themselves the Bronx Bagel and Deli. In NYC she would've been fired. Definitely doesn't have the friendliness like a New Yorker. Stopped coming here since the Service is terrible. Let me know when she's gone. I'll give it another shot. Thank you.
