I have to say the food isn't bad but don't walk away because you will never know your food was ready. unfortunately, this area doesn't have a lot of options for bakery goods. However the Saturday morning farmers market is quite a little hidden charm. The downtown shops / antique stores are pretty great too. This place is quite beautiful. If Perla could workout a way of letting people know there food is ready before it's cold, I'd give it more stars.
This was the starting point for our beach trip. We drive the same route every year and this year we stumbled onto Perla. It is a breath of fresh air amid fast food stops. We were pleasantly surprised at its offerings, all fresh and served quickly. We each had something different and shared with the table. The Nova Scotia toast (it's been 6 months) is still on my mind! We had coffees, a smoothie and two types of croissant. All excellent. Lovely buttery flaky croissants. It’s not cheap but this is not average baking either. We bought extras for the road. Also great artwork and poems that made our 12 year old very thoughtful. Lovely chill place.
