The busy bee is a reproduction of an original restaurant in DeFuniak. Mr Ray designed the restaurant to have that 1920-30's feel. I believe it will be an ice cream parlor.

I recently ate at the Busy Bee after it was reopened under new management. Service was quick and I had the best BLT I've ever eaten. Friendly folks!

The place is very relaxing and nice. The food is excellent in my opinion. I read some of these reviews and laugh where people say the service is horrible. Sometimes you got a wait this isn't McDonald's, if you want your food done in 5 Minutes and taste like cardboard and cannot wait an extra few because the place is busy then maybe you should go to McDonald's instead. If you haven't been there yet you should try the busy bee burger that is my favorite.

Waiter was terrible even brought my silverware to me had his hands all over them chicken was tea,my aunt got the lunch special ziti and was burnt on the bottom we got our salads and food all at once,we didn't eat and left never been back!The waiter wanted to argue that this place was never opened before and new!And I brought my mother in law there a few years ago when it first opened up

The Busy Bee Cafe is the place to go for lunch in Defuniak Springs. Very inexpensive but top quality eats. Favorites are the Busy Bee Burger, the grilled chicken sandwich and the Philly Cheesesteak.

I have been wanting to try this place for awhile. We were not disappointed! We tried the Red Pepper soup with Gouda cheese. Wow! One of my top two soups ever! I am looking forward to returning and having a big bowl With a grilled cheese sandwich! Loved the loaded potato soup as well.
