Went here about a month ago while house hunting. The aesthetic was very pleasing. Music playing quietly. Beautiful building. Staff was very nice and helpful when making our selections. My MIL and I both got blacken chicken meals and they were VERY SALTY. I got the blacken chicken tortellini. She got blacken chicken sandwich. And hubby got hurricane shrimp and it was delicious. I would probably order the same thing just with grilled chicken or shrimp. Our drinks staying filled. All over pretty good experience. We will go again but try different things.

A bit hit or miss... especially lately. The food used to be alot more flavorful. To be honest they really need to clean the dirty seats upholstery, and also recover all the torn up seats. The staff is sometimes unfriendly. I have been here a couple of times that we just got up and left because we didn't get any service. There have also been times when the service is great! That's why I say it's really hit or miss! Anytime Chef Ernie is there he is always friendly and comes to say hello and things seem on point those days usually. Lately bread pudding and beignets just taste very plain.

If you want your expired seafood soaked in milk this is the place to go❤️ The lights are dim because of the flys and roaches and the owner hits women❤️

We stayed at Hotel Defuniak (an interesting experience), so it was convenient for us to eat at Cafe Nola. We ate there twice and both times we were seated in the bar area. This was not a problem as we received good service both times. The food was good, if not outstanding, and a bit pricey. $11 for three slices of fried green tomatoes? It was also a little disappointing to have our drinks served in disposable plastic cups in this otherwise upscale (for Defuniak Springs) restaurant.

First time going to cafe Nola in Defuniak Springs, since moving here a few months ago. The inside is really nice and gives you good vibes, but the chairs need some love. Other than that the food was absolutely delicious. Had the mahi sandwich, and it was flavorful.
