I went there a few months ago. It smells like a porta potty. The roast beef was dry, the lamb was greasy. The desserts were very bland. I won't be going back.

Cook's buffet is a family tradition. Most recently we celebrated my Dad's 90th birthday at Cook's. The people are friendly, the food is delicious, and you'll leave satisfied! ❤️

I booked the Carriage House private party room offered by Cooks Cafe and could not have chosen a better venue for our event! It was a surprise party for my father's 60th birthday and he as well as all of the guests had a great time. The staff had decorated the room to a Martha Stewart level of Fall Decor to fit the season, and it was beautiful! We brought extra decorations but only used half of ours as theirs were so nice! The booking process was a breeze and Michael made sure that we had everything we needed when we needed it. The food was outstanding, and we had SO MUCH CAKE! Each guest has reached out to me to let me know they had a wonderful time and all can't tell me enough how much they loved the Carriage House. Jessica and Amanda were fantastic servers who worked their butts off to make sure we were all taken care of at any given moment. We almost maxed out the 40-person capacity and it felt like we were right at home for a big holiday dinner. Can't recommend the carriage house for your next event enough! First time their. They explained how everything went. Love the salad bar. Dressings were delicious and they had shredded carrots and cabbage. Salad mix was separated, so you could pick what kind you wanted. A plus in my book. Cold Pastas were really good. If you go after 4 pm, get the turkey with stuffing. That is when it starts getting busy. OMG so moist and tasty. Tried the rare roast beef was really good too, but you have to try the turkey! They let me try a sample of roast beef and that's what I'll get next time. The desserts are okay.

Cooks is one of our favorite places to eat in DeLand however, do not bring your own crackers because they will be confiscated by your server. And the restaurant does not offer their own crackers.

This place was so cool . Visited after a day at the springs we had a party of 8 with little kids. I recommend the full butlffet . And let the kids split a dessert.

I spent too much money on the atmosphere not enough on the food then make it so much more than it has to be you get one protein that's it from a 20 bucks One portion is all you're allowed so they call it a buffet is kind of a joke I will never return to this place ever again it's made for senior citizens 100%. The food is bland showy and expensive

Historic nice quient atmosphere - Even though its a nice simple buffet the food is good, healthy, fresh meat, and homemade desserts - Family atmosphere with great festive decorations & paintings on windows.
