I NEVER write reveiews but this place is so awful I had to warn people. Never been before and I expected a "Buffet" NOT SO. Our waitress did not ask if we had been there before nor explained the strange system of paying extra for more meat and 2nd plates nor one dessert only. In fact, the only buffet is the veggies (Horrible selection) and saladbut don't go for seconds on these either. After our waitress brought our drinks and very late into the meal some bread we NEVER saw her again. Had NO idea until then she was supposed to come and take our dessert order. Went up to get dessert and basically treated like I was Oliver in Dickens and told (NOT POLITELY) to sit down and wait for the waitress. She never appeared. I asked twice for someone to get her . NEVER saw her again! Finally another waitress brought me my dessert - Horrid stuff all sponge/pound cake and frosting. It looked good in the display but was dry and somewhat stale. The entire staff were very unfriendly and very rude. The only good thing was the meat - but all they give is a couple of slices if you want a bit of beef and slice of lamb - forget about it. If you would like to try a half slice of one cake and half of another forget it. The worst part once I finally understood how the restaurant operates was the rudeness and that is the BIG reason I will NEVER go back. The restaurant staff need to do remedial training to learn customer service and be taught to explain the system to the customer if it is their first time visiting.

If I could’ve given this less than one star I would have, but my only option was one star. First of all is not a buffet. Oh, it’s a buffet if you want a second helping of slimy green beans. To meet choices are OK. However, you asked for a second helping that’s gonna cost you five dollars right then and there of course they don’t tell you that so you get your bill at the end of the mail and suddenly the price is skyrocketed because you had two slices of ham, not one. You get one meat per order one time. In other words, this buffet they advertise is not a buffet at all not even remotely close.Meats are not bad tasting. They’re not great since you only get one choice you better choose well. The vegetables could be tasty because what time of day you get there buy a large it’s not a whole lot to pick from some green beans some mashed potatoes and some carrots and rutabaga whatever that is.Then desserts all they look good they sound good, but don’t go near the dessert cage. Let me tell you you’ll have waitresses all over you. The whole thing is based upon, but don’t touch don’t get a buffet. My wife and I both got the cappuccino cake. How thin can you slice a piece of cake and you can’t get it you have to ask your server to go get your cake they will if you can if you can find them whenever they show up. We had to ask two times to get a dessert then when they brought it to us my wife and I looked at each other and said this is not cappuccino. This is a chocolate cake and barely that it was dry slightly tasted of chocolate she didn’t eat the rest of her, which was only two bites. I didn’t eat the rest of mine, which was only one bite. It was horrible. So we sent him back and said this ain’t for us we want another dessert. Nope can’t have it you paid for it too late. Sorry about that Jack and Jill. You took a bite out of it and you’re not getting anything else and yes one bite that was all.Waitstaff, this is like being in a prison camp. You gotta ask for everything except you can walk up and get a spoonful of slimy green beans but anything else you’ve got to chase down your waitress and then they get rude. And yes they are very rude there matter-of-fact I will never go back under any circumstance.Cost: It’s not cheap but it’s not terribly expensive. It was about $50 for the two of us and all we had was water to drink and that was not including the tip.Stay away you can eat cheaper and much better at Golden corral or you can actually get a buffet.Unless you want to be treated like a criminal sit down, shut up and do as you’re told by the weight staff.

Yeah, we really thought Cooks was great. The salad was cold, fresh, and really excellent. I had two salads. For entree, I wish they were not out of the honey mustard chicken when we were in line because that looked great. Got roast beef that was so tender and well cooked. And I think we walked out with tip and two buffets for around $35. Can't beat that

This is a very cute restaurant. Our waitress and the buffet staff were nice. But unfortunately that is all that was good about this place. The hostess is NOT pleasant. The food is the worst food we have ever had at a buffet. Ok, salad was good. The fish was rubbery with soggy breading on top. Macaroni and cheese looked like it was made with velvetta but honestly we couldn’t figure out what was in it. Pulled pork was dry. (Hubby wanted the prime rib but it was burnt.) No seasoning in the food what so ever. My husband said “this must be where taste buds go to die”. And there are lots of rules for the buffet so not even a true buffet. We always try to eat local when we travel but unfortunately this one was a BIG miss.

First time going here. Drove over 45 minutes but worth the drive. Warning, even though its a buffet it's not like a regular buffet. You get one choice of meat and only one serving. But all the sides are all you can eat. The salad bar can use a good overhaul. Nothing really cohesive to make it a salad bar worth mentioning. Poor choices of toppings. Soups are extra. Can get another meat for $5.00 extra. For a buffet it seems everything is extra!! Only a few choices on the sides as well. All in all i have mixed feelings about this place. What food we did have was good. Not sure if a return visit is warranted or not. Bit definitely worth the one time experience.

If your in the area then this is the place to go for lunch. I haven't tried dinner time but the lunch is awesome. Easily the best salad bar I've had in a long time.

We just love the whole experience. The property is very well done aesthetically and the buffet was really good. My wife especially enjoyed the leg of lamb.Parking: The parking lot was kind of a cramped area and it may be difficult for you to find a place to park nearby.

My Daughter found this restaurant, and we've gone back a number of times. The food is always delicious, and the atmosphere is 1st class. The servers will take care of you. Prices are fair for what you get. A BurgerKing meal is around $10 or more, and no way compares to Cook's! Try them out.Parking: We've always found a spot to park.Wheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp up to the front door.

It’s a buffet. All you can eat salad, veggies, with your choice of one serving of freshly cut meat. The selection of food is adequate, and everything tasted fresh and was certainly delicious.
