If you're looking for an upscale dinner in the Deland FL area, this is definitely the go to. They have 20+ tables indoors and half-dozen more outside. Large enough to handle a decent crowd but small enough to remain somewhat intimate. Much lower noise level than I've experienced in some of the larger chains (Darden, etc) and excellent professional service. We have wanted to try Cress for some time having heard excellent reviews of their food. We went on the Friday night before Valentines, hoping to avoid at least some of the Valentines crush. The restaurant is 'intimate' in size, predictable for a restaurant in downtown Deland. We were glad we had a reservation, as the restaurant was running near capacity. Excellent food and service as always. It was a cool evening, however, and the wait staff seemed to ignore it when the door was left open. I had to get up three times and my wife once to shut it and keep the cool wind from blowing on our table.
