Great meal, great service, great atmosphere but I must share this experience because I’m still in shock.I had dinner with a friend I haven’t seen in a while. They sat us at a table of 6 for just the 2 of us.. odd. Our reservation was at 5:15pm. It was the last reservation they had for the evening.At 7:45pm, we had paid the bill and was finishing up our conversation. The hostess came over and told us we had to get up because they needed the table for next party and that the “early bird special was over”. Hm, rude.I’ve looked countless times to make sure before leaving this review, there is no where stated there is a table limit. There was also no party standing at the door waiting to be seated. We found this to be offensive and rude and will think twice when wanting to get together again about heading here.If a restaurant needs the table, it’s understandable, but number 1. A manager should do that- not a hostess and number 2. Offer to buy the girls a round of drinks at the bar or dessert instead of choosing to end their night. Our plan was to go to the rooftop for a cocktail, but that completely turned us away from this place.

My wife and I had a great experience at Akira Back for dinner. Jordan provided a memorable experience. Thoroughly enjoyed the tuna pizza, waygu short rib and tuna collar nigiri. Would highly recommend. Can’t wait to come back.
We had a wonderful dinner and the waiter brought over a Birthday dessert. We had 2 people celebrating birthdays and this was a very special night. Thank you Akira Back of Delray?
I have been to Akira numerous times. I have yet to be disappointed with any dish I ordered. The spicy version of miso soup is a little much for my palate but I am a person who seldom orders something spicy. Parking needs some improvement. Overall nothing can stop me from coming back because the food is that good.

A gem ! Everything was perfect, the place is beautiful, the outdoor seating is very pleasant, the staff is very attentive, and the food is excellent ! The fish melts in your mouth, no false notes. My favorite restaurant from now on!

We’ve been here twice and each time it has not disappointed. Our group this time was larger than the first, which allowed for us to eat through more of the menu. We ate essentially every roll on the menu, wagyu rice, edamame and the crab legs. All of which were amazing.What kinda of stole the show for us this time wasn’t necessarily the food, but that kimchi butter. Man oh man, was that stuff delicious and used for more than just the edamame.Our server was pretty awesome too. Can’t wait to eat there again next time in Delray.
If you’re visiting delray, you HAVE to visit Akira! The vibes are immaculate. Zach was the BEST server. He had great service and amazing recommendations. The experience wouldn’t have been the same without him. Thanks Zach!!☺️

This place was just a disappointment. We seated and they took the order after 20 minutes later. Drinks was super late. Then we ordered food and it never came after waiting 1 hour 30 minutes. After waiting this long we asked whether the food is coming or not. The manager went to kitchen to check and told us we should wait 15 minutes more. It seems they never started preparing our food. Service is terrible and I think this a place way overrated. I do not suggest trying here. You can find much better restaurants near Boca Raton...

The restaurant's decor is beautiful...a very comfortable and inviting environment! It was our first time at Akira Back and we had a delightful experience! Our server, Karissa, was informative and provided us with wonderful suggestions. She was so knowledgeable and friendly...a true asset to the restaurant. Every dish that we sampled was delicious! We will definitely be back!!
