Our first visit to Drift Restaurant was a delightful experience. They serve the best Drift burgers, and the drinks and desserts were equally delicious. Our waiter, Kory, was exceptional. He was accommodating, patient, and very friendly. We had an excellent time!
We stayed at the Opal and stopped in one late evening for cocktails. The expresso martinis are super delicious. Fabulous atmosphere and a perfect bar setting to enjoy.
The Drift is a restaurant with excellent upscale food with an atmosphere that's casual but classy. You can get leg of lamb or a hamburger and it'll be delicious. There were 7 of us for dinner and everything looked and tasted amazing. We tried the ribeye, the filet, leg of lamb and tacos. I think the filet I had was the best I've ever had. The sides as well as the appetizers were equally pleasing. I recommend the faccacia bread with blueberry butter. Thank you Pratik, for a wonderful experience.
Food & drinks were great! Our waitress, Chelsea, was not. She was not friendly and over charged us for drinks. We got 4 drinks and were charged for 6. It’s a good thing we looked at the bill or we would have paid $30 more dollars. It wasn’t a mix-up, it’s slow season, we were one of the only tables there. No apology or anything. I think she may have done it on purpose. Just be careful and look at your check. Won’t recommend due to service, but food was good.
Beautiful place, the food is excellent. My favorite is the branzino.
If we could rate the service an 11 out of 5, it still would not be good enough. The staff was so complementary, the drinks were exceptional, the food was amazing. To have to manage the normal bar crowd in ADDITION to an entire convention of needy nutritionists was incredible. The staff of JD, Bridget, Brandon and the amazing Emily (who was INCREDIBLE at managing the madness) made us feel so welcome that we decided none of the other bars mattered and we would just stay here all night. An incredible time with incredible people... CHOP CHOP!
I went to this restaurant last week with 2 friends. The only good thing about this place is the decor.. My friends ordered a pasta dish and a sandwich which was ok. I ordered the shellfish stew at $42, their website says $40. When the dish came I started to eat the small lobster tail which was a little overcooked, but still acceptable, then moved on to the shrimp. I thought that it was a little spicy, but noticed that it was plainly oversalted when i tried to spoon the stew. It was just not edible. After the waiter served the dish, he never came back to inquire about the food. This dish had so much salt that i was afraid that my blood pressure would spike. When he cleaned the table and finally asked how it was, I told him it was horrible. He kind of acknowledged it, but that was it. In order to charge $42 for a dish that is so horrible and to charge $10 for valet parking is simply a shame.
Amazing atmosphere, food and service! This place is absolutely beautiful and the food was cooked to perfection. What moved me to write a review was the outstanding service! Our servers, Kelly and Nick were so attentive and so eager to make us feel welcome and comfortable, 5 stars service!

Great atmosphere and conducive to business lunches and dinners. Food can be a bit inconsistent but is generally quite good. Location is great - on Atlantic Ave but away from the noisy tourist crowds. The Spicy Moroccan Hummus is something I order on every visit.

My daughter went to Drift last night with her friend who is "instafamous"and the server Jenny was extremely rude accusing her of over drinking at the second glass of champagne when she ordered a third. I have always recommended this hotel and restaurant to my out of town guests to stay while visiting and I certainly will think twice about ever doing so again. I'm sure if she was a business man who was well known ordering scotch, she would not have received the treatment from a staff member like this. There are plenty of places in Delray that are fantastic with great service, make sure you visit one of those fine establishments.

I am a regular customer here and met with some friends here. My friend ordered a 3rd glass of champagne which is a normal amount for someone who is not driving which is when the waitress told her she is pacing her now when it had been over 30 mins since we got there. When the waitress (jenny) came back with waters she got extremely rude with us and when we told her to leave she just continued to be blatantly rude saying to my friend “ first you have attitude and second you need to pace yourself ”. I have worked in a high class restaurant on the ave and no matter how rude a customer was too me i never would react the way she did. It was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I went inside to pay the check when she was at the bar yelling and laughing talking poorly about my friend with coworkers who were also laughing loud enough for everyone to hear all because my friend was questioning why she was being paced and asked how long the wait would be. When i stopped her and said “First of all you were blatantly rude. The first time you said it you were almost nervous and didnt know what to say and it came out kind of rude. The second time you were extremely rude.” her (jenny) and her coworkers started laughing at what i said and started being rude to me. I asked for the check so that i can just leave and they just continued. THIS IS BEYOND UNEXCEPTABLE FROM ALL OF THE EMPLOYEES. Not one worker at the bar stopped what was happening or tried to deescalate the situation. My friend may not have had the best tone of voice with her because she was upset that she was being paced for only her 3rd small glass of champagne but the way the waitress addressed it was completely unprofessional. Will not be returning ever again!!!!

Brunch Beware!
With family in town for Christmas, we decided to do a sisters brunch and try something new. As a party of 5, we thought this would be memorable. Unfortunately, the memorable part was how disappointing and underwhelming the experience was. The chairs for outdoor seating need to be upgraded. The server repeatedly could not answer our questions about the menu and had to get help from another server. The cocktails were average, and the food was flavorless. The wait for our food was very long for a half full patio, and we had to track down our server just to get the bill. I wish I had read all of the reviews before going and spending so much money. Spare yourself to disappointment and choose somewhere else more affordable and delicious!
