The concept is great, the menu is decent but the portions and heartiness of the sandwiches could use some work. I've had plenty of vegan sandwiches and these just fall short with the assembly and creativity. The skinny little white bread triangles feel unsatisfying and I personally can make a better sandwich at home, considering the price point at this place. For convenience it's a nice vegan spot in Delray, but I use it for emergencies only.

drove all the way up from coral springs , 35-40 minutes because it said they were open & the doors were locked. tried calling multiple times and no answer. sign said order online but when i tried the website it said no longer accepting orders. real disappointed bc i had just seen someone walk in , not sure if worker or what

Exceptional vegan food with delicious flavor! Hands down my favorite place to eat in Delray Beach. Try the Falafal Pasta Salad - my favorite!

Overall it's decent. Falafel burger is my favorite on their menu. Rice is decent too. Service is very friendly.

Food was better than expected, service was great.When it came time to pay I pull out my plastic VISA. The attendant/server/food handler asked me for the three digit code in the back of the card and then my zip code. I came to a screeching torrent of doubt and asked him why. Why did he need that? He played d*** claiming that was what the machine was asking him. I use my card a lot and I have never been through such an interrogation. I paid him cash instead and left. I was not given a receipt nor did I ask for one.On that count alone I don't think I will patronize this eatery again. I did not feel secure.

I used to love this place.The food is great.However it doesn’t matter much If they are not reliable with their hours of operation. The past 4 times I have driven there to eat there they have been closed during their operating hours. So frustrating.

I recently visited The New Vegan out of curiosity. Firstly, I want to say that the young man who served me was very hospitable. I was eager to try out this spot because I am plant-based and was looking forward to supporting a black-owned business. Unfortunately, as I entered the restaurant I asked for a menu and was told that I would need to scan a code to pull up the menu. As I have pictured, I ordered the vegan fried chik'n with mac n cheese. When it came to drinks, the juices were unavailable. Unfortunately, my meal was disappointing. I was expecting possibly a baked mac n cheese but received rotini pasta in a cheese sauce. The chik'n seemed like that of a falafel. Not sure what it was made of but it tasted salty and like it was not fully cooked. Still with some high hopes I ordered pecan cookies to go. But the cookies were not what I expected either. There was no softness just crunchy. I hope that the needed changes will be made so that this business can succeed.

I decided to try The New Vegan because I wanted to support a black-owned business and also because there are still not that many restaurants that sell solely vegan food. I have to be honest, the food was not appetizing at all. I do not know what they used to make the 'fried chicken' but apart from the crispy exterior the inside tasted unpleasant. The rice tasted like it was not freshly made either. I really wanted to give a good review but honestly for the price I really expected better food.I also did not get a receipt for my payment because the register was not set up to give receipts. He said that if I ordered online the receipt would have been sent to my email. He had no way of putting my email into the system so he told me what my total was. I think they need to get it together or they are going to lose business like that.

The food is inconsistent & so are their hours. When the food is good it’s really good though. I just wish their hours would be consistent to what is posted on the web. Sometimes they aren’t open on time & whenever I call an hour prior to closing they say they are closing early. Literally happens every time. If you want food here you need to call in the mid hours they are open to insure you actually get an order here. If they could pull it together it would be a great spot.

We've been to this place multiple times at least 10. Their food is good but the service is very slow, so you can sit for 30-40 minutes and only then receive your food while the place is empty. Today I called them in advance to order waffles and avocado toast for my kids so by the time we arrive it’s ready. They told me that they can’t take my order over the phone because they’re scared that we’re not gonna show up and they will lose money. So I went on their website and there is no option to order. So I called back and offered my card for them to make sure I will pay and they told me that they only want to serve happy people. Just to let you know I was happy before I called you and this is the conversation with you, unfortunately, you didn’t introduce yourself, that made me unhappy. Always like to support vegan places but not this one.

So I called back and offered my card for them to make sure I will pay and they told me that they only want to serve happy people. Just to let you know I was happy before I called you and this is the conversation with you, unfortunately, you didn't introduce yourself, that made me unhappy. Always like to support vegan places but not this one.

I LOVE this little hidden gem of a restaurant and the people who run it. Not only is the food super-healthy, but the dishes are insanely delicious, too!
