We had not been to Captain Dave’s before this trip to the Destin area. Captain Dave’s will now be a stop each time. Food was good, fair price and staff was so friendly. We enjoyed grouper and had a drink, being very satisfied we plan on returning.
I arrived early, ahead of the eight people that were to join me for our meal. I requested a table with a gulf view and was told that I would have to wait until the rest of my party arrived. Once everyone arrived we were led a table in a corner where 50% of the view was obscured by shades that were broken (not retractable). I'm a local and don't care about looking at the water while I eat, but the people I was with were there for the experience. I went to the hostess...

The family could had cared less the noise, messiness of their area and the fact they allowed their children make palm size paper balls using napkins that hit my sister in the face.
We love it there and hate we had that experience.
