We came to Destin as tourists and decided to try the chowder, but we didn’t like it—it was too spicy for our taste. The appetizers, however, were very good. Here are some photos of those. The place has a nice atmosphere and good service.

For 30ish years, The Back Porch has always been a great Go To. At times, it can be extremely crowded but it's never been an issue for us. Windows open, on the beach, casual eatery with yummy food. Looking for upscale ~ keep looking ~ there are lots of places. Great place to catch the game while eating at the bar. This tradition, this place and the Blackened Grouper Sandwich never disappoint.
