My family and I were able to spend an entire week at this wonderful resort. Huge thank you to Stephanie for all her help during our booking experience. There was so much to do we didn’t get to do it all partially due to us wanting to explore the keys a little too. The staff was very friendly and made our stay extra enjoyable. We will definitely go back.
The food was amazing. I had the pasta and shrimp, the tuna and carpaccio appetizers, and the ribeye steak. The pasta sauce was flavorful, the shrimp was delicious. The tuna with the ginger sauce was wonderful and the carpaccio was fresh. The ribeye cooked to perfection. The service was under staffed and slow. The resort did not do well at preparing for a sold out weekend and the staff could not keep up. The price for the food was steep but luckily the flavor and taste made up for it. The expresso martini coming out of a “pre mix” machine that the bartender throws a edible sticker on top should not be $25...
The Wagyu strip was fantastic! Our table also had the Sea Bass on special and the ribeye and everybody enjoyed their meals. Also the French onion soup was very good. Omar, our waiter, was so friendly and gave outstanding service!
Omar was so wonderful and attentive! He was kind and friendly, and took his time getting to know us. He was lovely.
Our steaks were great, too - I’m pretty sure we only said “wow” to each other, many times over, once they were delivered!

Inside was nice and quiet, We sat outside and it's by the pool. We enjoyed the vibe. French onion soup, dinner rolls, oysters, were all phenomenal. Had surf and turf for our meal. The shrimp and sides were great. Steak was a bit tough and not excellent, but decent. Would go back.
Both the Chop and the Catch on Risotto were excellent. Full of flavor and well presented. We came in late and were served a wonderful quiet meal. The server split our wedge salad without asking (not always a given at even the finest restaurants).
Now that we're neighbors we hope to visit often.

Manager wasn't good on customer service. Didn't listen to what was being said and tried to say no to everything. Came back later to admit he was wrong but at that point it didn't matter.
When you pay good money to go on a bucket list vacation, it is hard to deal with a resort that does not aspire to a reasonable customer service level. We have been wanting to visit Hawks Cay for years and the experience was filled with extreme lows and a few highs. We were able to check in early, but once our room was ready we were just given a number. No one told us that there were separate rooms in the main building and villas that had the same numbers. The map only showed the numbers of the villas which is where we went. The communication was sub par and that was a theme throughout the resort. We went down to the main pool (which was scalding hot) and also the cove which was disgusting. It felt like a dirt lake. The cove had paddle boards and kayaks which were first come first served. The man running the area was rude and when we aske questions about the process seemed annoyed and and there were paddle boards on the shore that weren't being used. We went to the marina to book a deep sea fishing trip through the resort. When we came the next morning, we boarded the boat they told us about (we took a pic) and then found out when we returned that we were on the wrong boat but no one confirmed, called or anything. The captain when we returned yelled at us and got mad that it was our fault even though we paid a lot of money for a specific experience. People at the marina were rude to our children and ruined the experience. I will say the deckhand Jay was awesome and so good with our kids! When we got done with our catch, they told us we could take it up to Angler ans Ale and they would prepare it and take care of it. The restaurant was not open and no one was there to help us. That was a selling point and the communication was horrible. We has a huge bag of fish and no help. Thankfully Kim the golf cart driver was the only one who got answers for us and was awesome. The whole trip was frustrating and we kept getting incorrect information with people just wanting us to pay more. The resort room was also a let down. It needs to be renovated. The main entrance of the resort is fabulous but the rooms are a bit gross. Our hallway smelled like skunk and the carpets had stains. Our bathroom was dark and old which was surprising for what we paid for the resort. Overall, I was disappointed, especially for the cost. I am writing this because I would love to see action as opposed to a standard, "Thanks for letting us know and we will do our best in the future." Especially with a family and children and how often I read about this being a family friendly resort experience, it was far from it. Thankfully, we only had a few nights....we would have left if it had been for longer.

I would give this place more than 5 stars if I could. We were here for a week in a villa that was very spacious with great views. We had a small issue with the villa and Maggie was so quick to resolve it! She is the best and I can only hope she's very appreciated there. Her actions and the resorts above all amazing customer service made me look past the small villa issues especially with their response time fixing it. This got us wanting to come back for more! I already spoke to my agent and told her to expedite people from her agency to this resort, they would not be disappointed! Amazing atmosphere, amazing food, good drinks, and absolutely some of the best customer service I've ever seen in my travels.
Hawks Cay is a fantastic resort for young families. They have absolutely everything you need to enjoy an active vacation without even leaving the property.
Everything was very good, my wife and I celebrated her birthday at Hawks Cay, she wanted a good steak and I wanted seafood they served both with excellence Our waiter was top notch! I will return when we visit the area again
Food hit or miss. Service questionable. Live music a plus.

Just ehhh and blah. I expected so much more for the price we paid. Food wasn't terrible, but I'd never go back. If I'm spending 2x or 3x as much as I would off the resort, I expect it to be top notch. Water glasses stayed empty, food was bland, menu was limited. No thanks. Head down to key west and walk in to any restaurant or shack and you'll find better food at a far less price.
