My husband and I had an amazing time here. The food was delicious and our waitress Jennifer was amazing, super friendly and helpful! We will definitely be back! I had the skirt steak and my husband had the mofongo with steak and it was delicious.

Starting the way all my reviews start…. my wife and me went to dinner to this place. And please read the full review to understand my 3 stars rate.
Use to be a food truck but actually is a full restaurant with a nice and beautiful layout. You are welcome immediately as you walk in, employees have a friendly attitude.
We started with the “alcapurias” , one meat and one crab, highly recommended.
Although the “mofongo “ is most of the recommended dishes ,but I choose the “Chillo frito y arroz mamposteao”. The fried fish was perfectly cooked, the rice has good taste but, I didn’t found the sweet plantain chunks on the rice, but has a good flavor.
The downside was my wife dish. She ordered “Bistec encebollado “… and that is a trademark. That name has just one recipe, no variations or modifications, again just one recipe.
I asked to my wife what she asked, when she answered I responded “ that isn’t Bistec encebollado “.. that was just a cooked meat with onions.
Bistec encebollado is a national plate in the Caribbean, specifically Puerto Rico. To cook it is:
- Cubed steak ( not other meat)
- Tenderize the steak and marinate on Vinager!…. Vinager!
- Add onions and cooked in low and covered
- At the end is a juicy meat with taste and aftertaste of vinegar.

The dish of my wife had was NONE OF ABOVE! Specially taste, my wife ask for a box because she didn’t eat it.
Please change the Menu and named that dish as steak with onion / carne con cebolla or learn how cook it!

Mofongo and seafood are good.. but meat is another story.

PD. Next day I use the meat to make a Philly steak sandwich, not a Bistec sandwich, I don’t do miracles.

This is the first time ordering food at Dónde Wilking and I have to say the mofongo relleno de pollo is delicious. The tostones with the garlic oil was a nice touch and the alcapurria was delicious as well. I will comeback again and strongly recommend it.
