Bon Appétit Restaurant & Bar

It was fabulous. You simply must try the bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer. Proportions are excellent. Side salad could be shared it is so large. The seabass recipe is absolutely an excellent choice. Presentation is off the charts.

I received my food and a fruit fly landed directly on it. The server noticed and simply said “sorry,” but I was no longer comfortable eating it. I asked to have it packed to go instead. At $50 a plate, I expect a cleaner dining environment, but there were fruit flies throughout the area.

Bon Appetit Restaurant was amazing! The food was absolutely delicious, and there isn't a bad view of the Gulf anywhere in the place — every seat has a great view. The service was on point, super friendly and attentive. I also love that they offer free valet parking, because parking around there can be a nightmare otherwise. Highly recommend for great food, great views, and great service!

Server not very friendly nor did he give us suggestions and we felt rushed The North Atlantic soul is cut and served at table as it always has been the presentation was awful it used to be a nice presentation from server & fun to watch now the cart is higher and server doesn't do anything special

Pistachio crusted seabass: fish was excellent, white flaky and sweet, cooked expertly. Not exactly crusted, it was pistachio pieces in a sauce spooned over the fish. Sauce was very rich, I think too rich with cream for the delicate fish. Creme brûlée dessert was presented well with strawberries and blueberries (red white and blue? Pretty.) But the creme itself seemed thickened with a flour roue, perhaps, thick and sticky. Service was excellent, ambience beautiful and comfortable. Prices were hefty, as if the restaurant considers itself 5 star when really it's only a 3.

The food was extremely average, given the price tag. My Cesar salad had bottled dressing and croutons from a box. Not high end dining by any stretch.

Food very tasty. Server new and not trianed very well. Made 2 drink errors and 1 entree error. Couldn't open a bottle of wine, did not offer to try wine, never came by to pour wine once. While piano player was playing impossible to have a conversation, way too loud. Unfortunately we will not be back

The food and service were outstanding. Having a table overlooking the bay, made the dining experience memorable.

Waitress was ok. The Server was exceptionally rude and condescending. Ordered the Dover sole. Nothing like it was in January. Octopus also disappointing. May try one more time to see if it was a one off.

We celebrated my mother-in-law's 80th birthday and had a wonderful meal in a beautiful setting.

I'm a local Dunedin resident and this was my second time at Bon Appetit. Both reservations and experiences were unfortunately similar. I chose this venue based on location and status and was disappointed to say the least. This was a special birthday celebration, everyone dressed and car valet at the door. We were seated in what appeared to be hallway like area against the window where I placed my phone and keys on the windowsill against my right leg. We were greeted and was immediately asked if we wanted bottle water or just from the tap... garden hose style. The glass was black and cold against my side but I knew where my phone and keys were so we were ready to order. My date ordered the duck and I had the lamb. When asking about options and other things we were definitely made to feel like we were just lucky to be there and the chef will see what he thinks about things and let us know. The food was horrible. The potatos and mixed vegetables were disgusting and had zero seasoning at all. The duck bland, no taste and my date could not stomach finishing it. My lamp chops were tiny and mushy at center and I was able to finish 2 of the 4. We paid roughly $150 and I will never go back. Its a shame that establishments such as Bon Appetit sell such atmosphere and present almost zero value in the form of a view, food or service. I will communicate my thoughts each and every time asked. DO better.

Server Ryan was outstanding. He told us about the specials and he was friendly and very professional. He made dining there very enjoyable. He was attentive but not intrusive.

Good food, great wait staff. It was quite noisy so I would only recommend this place for group party not a romantic atmosphere. Overall nice for a birthday party.

For those with low vision, this place offers tablets to better see the menu. The music adds a nice touch to the experience. A must visit.

The staff was so nice it was my dads 80ty birthday. Miguel was our waiter and he was attentive and professional. Thank you.
