UPDATE: I would literally travel across the state to eat here. Had my 2nd visit in a few months today and I love it just as much as the first time. The owner truly cares about his craft and his customers. Couldn’t possibly recommend this place more. To pass it up would truly be a mistake. Will be back!!!!!

“I come here all the time on Tuesdays for their fantastic happy hour deals. Half off apps, 10 dollar margherita pizzas, 5 dollar margaritas. Fantastic prices for fantastic food. The pizza is thin and crispy but with a bounce to the bite. You can see the chef hand making the dough. Top notch, high-quality and delicious. I will always return here. Their normal prices not during happy hour are pretty reasonable as well.”

“My husband and I went to Bon Appetit today 9/1/2024 to celebrate our anniversary. As usual we enjoy sitting outside. As we approached the entrance we were not greeted with hello how many but " Do you have a reservation "? My husband and I are there frequently and this was the first time I was asked that. So I said if we are sitting in the outside area, is it a new rule to have reservations? The server said no. So I was a bit taken back by her response. By the way the place was fairly empty so there were many tables open. We asked to sit by the window. The server said but it is hot you should sit at the high top. I politely said no thanks a table by the water is what we would like. As we sat down we were greeted by Melissa our server. She asked if we wanted drinks and we said we would like to look at the menu. The menu was a tablet. My husband has poor eye sight, so I should have asked for a paper menu. However, I helped him with his selections. We began to look at the menu and our drinks arrived. The server asked if we wanted to order. We said not yet we just got our drinks. Well to make a long story short and I want to mention again, it was not busy so it was not like we were holding up a table but the server kept asking if we were ready to order! We finally ordered and we were very pleased with our food. The server kept asking if we wanted anything else. We just started eating! We felt like she either wanted to leave and go home or just wanted us to leave. It was a very uncomfortable feeling. When we asked for the check she asked us if we were ready to pay! My husband took out his card but did not have the chance to review the bill. Very disappointed with the service. We wanted a nice relaxing dinner but it felt like there was a fire in the building and we had to get out. We got the bums rush and we were not happy with the service at all!”

“Perfect dinner choice for us before bowling tonight. Carol, our waitress, was fantastic. She was on her first night back from a 6 month break and did her very best to make sure we were taken care of even though she was struggling with some changes to the order taking device. She was so sweet. The other waiter on staff was also attentive and helpful. Our food came out in good time and was delicious. Most importantly, don’t forget to save room for dessert because OH MY is it amazing!”

“Had a good lunch here. Hushpuppies were yummy and so were the onion rings. Fish on the grouper sandwich was delicious. Seafood sampler was good: fish, shrimp, and scallops all tasted fresh.

I liked the fish breading for the sampler but it wouldn’t be what I’d expect if I got fish and chips. So want to go back and try that to see if it’s different or not and also the crab cakes.”

“I heard about Kue’s from a Facebook group and boy, they did not disappoint. The food was TO DIE for. I got two classics - Chinese style beef lo mein and Chinese style chicken fried rice (both hot). The rice and lo mein were packed with flavor, which is unlike all the other Chinese I’ve tried in the area which has been for the most part tasteless and a lot more expensive. You can choose the spice level of everything, but be mindful, when they say hot they mean it! I ordered to go and my food was out quickly and both the woman who took my order as well as the gentleman who greeted me were extremely friendly and helpful. Overall 10/10, highly recommend. Such a gem!!!”

“Tiny place, basically an indoor hotdog stand. They serve Vienna Beef hot dogs in every style you can think of. Everything is fresh and delicious. The lady running the place was a hotdog guru. Great service. They have tables to enjoy your food outside. I've eaten hotdogs from Detroit to Mexico and even out to Flagstaff. This place is among the best.”

“Two enthusiastic thumbs up for Pete's Diner! They very kindly arranged to deliver a turkey dinner today to my brother (who lives in Dunedin and is recovering at home after surgery). Well, they delivered a delicious meal at 2:30pm and it was truly a HOMEMADE dinner. It was EXCEPTIONAL! From the turkey, to the gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, corn, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie with whipped cream--it was a homemade feast. We are deeply grateful to Pete's Diner for the extraordinary Thanksgiving dinner they prepared, and delivered!!!!”

“Had a BOGO card from a 5K run & was in town for the Labor Day weekend. I had Cary’s Amber Lager (limited run) and my wife had Blueberry Blonde Ale along with a cheese pizza. Both beers were fantastic & I can say the Cary’s Amber Lager is the best beer I’ve had so far during this visit to Dunedin. The cheese pizza actually was above average for a Sunday beer & pizza lunch. Give it a try and you won’t be disappointed!

“Went for the first time yesterday with a group of 6. We all ordered different dishes and all were attractively served with amazing proportions, more importantly we all were very pleased with the flavor of our various meals. Servuice was prompt and friendly. It is located in a strip mall and easy to overlook, but glad we went. The inside was decorated with colorful Mexican pottery on the walls along with the almost obligatory portrait of Frida Kahlo. My only slightly negative, is that it seemed a bit cramped.But I've seen worse. Will definitely go again. I enjoyed my Carnitas Burrito Ahogado with additional Bandero topping, and took more than half home to enjoy again.”

Breakfast done well. I'm not the biggest fan of breakfast this may have changed my mind. We also tried the blueberry crepe with whipped cream on the side and strawberry's on top. Coffee was good also. the waitress was on point, we meet the chef he was great and spoke French. Check it out.”

We hit the jackpot with The Wild Iris Cafe! We visited Tuesday for lunch and chose to beat the heat and eat indoors. The atmosphere is very welcoming and cozy. The service was outstanding and the food….oh, the food!! Homemade rye bread for the delicious chicken salad sandwich with sweet potato chunks. (Chicken Salad is usually served in half of a cantaloupe, but we asked for a sandwich. We also got their goat cheese, peppers, and onions quiche. I’ve never had such a fluffy quiche! Loved it. We will definitely go back and bring friends. Thanks for making our lunch date memorable!”

“Stumbled upon this cracking little place today after travelling up from Portsmouth for an MRI scan. Carbonara was out of this world and my only complaint was against myself for not realising they did large portions...so ended up ordering twice as it was so good. I’ll be making a trip over town next time I’m up there - 10/10”

Brisket sandwich: meat was good but I really like fatty brisket so wanted more of that. Raw red onions would have been better pickled I think. Side of coleslaw was okay, it has apples in it so not my favorite but my wife liked it.

Smoked chicken sandwich: taste was good but needed some sort of sauce or stronger rub. We used some of the sauce on the table which helped. Fries as side was good.

Overall was good but not great. We would probably go back to try the ribs and another meat dinner. Apps also sounded really good.”
