“My Memphis born husband stopped smoking pork and beef when we discovered Eli's. Whenever family visits, getting Eli's BBQ is a MUST. WE have enjoyed their pork, beef, beans,, coleslaw and sauce for many gatherings. Most recently we hosted a very large party. All the food was so good, people wanted to know where we got it! Ronni and the staff are good, caring people. The value ion the food, the service and the warmth of the owners and staff make it a "gotta come back again often" place. At this time there is road work being done in front, that makes it a bit difficult to get to, but it is worth the effort. It's right on the Dunedin Trail, so you can go by bike, or walk a bit further than you are used to on Douglas..“

“We needed a last minute order for family reunion after original vendor backed out 2 days before, not only was Dunedin Smokehouse able to provide a full dinner for 50 on 48hr notice, the food was amazing and their customer service is of the best I have had. Would definitely recommend and be back again!“

“The managers both Carlie and Justin were both very accommodating when I called to make a reservation for 20 to celebrate a birthday at the restaurant. Our server Devon did an outstanding job and was absolutely fine regarding our request for multiple checks. The food was simply delicious and the prices were reasonable. They allowed me to bring in a birthday cake and they served it for no extra charge. We were all extremely happy with the service provided and will definitely return!!“

“After a very long work day I placed an order for pickup. After picking up my food order and returning home I discovered this was not my order. Feeling very disappointed I called the resturant and spoke to the manager Michelle who was very apologetic. After explaining I had just come home from a very long workday, I was not.leaving again to pick up the correct order. Michelle not only prepared a fresh order but delivered it to me on her way home from finishing her shift at the resturant. I have to say, I am taken back from not only Michelle's empathy but her eagerness to help correct the oversight. In a day where mediocre customer service has been accepted as the norm, to experience excellent customer ( and delicious food) is a rarity. Thank you Michelle and Sonny's BBQ for restoring my faith in customer service but warming my heart that compassion and kindness still exist. This was my first Sonny's visit and highly impressed !“

“This was our first time here. The pulled pork was pulled off of the bone and shredded right before being placed in the container for our to-go order. We also took home the grilled corn on the cobb and mac-n-chz. Phenomenal all around! We'll be back again and again. 🤤😎“

“I’ve driven past this place many times before when I worked out on Clearwater Beach when I lived in Dunedin 10 years ago, well earlier today my husband & I & our daughter was at the light right next to this little spot when we crossed wind with the smell of their smoker & oh my did it smell good….🤤 so I told my husband that we HAD TO GO BACK after we got done getting gas & I tell you what I’m GLAD WE WENT BACK the food DID NOT disappoint…..I will DEFINITELY go back…❣️“

The restaurant was well maintained, clean, and welcoming. The food was outstanding, and the service was excellent — friendly, attentive, and efficient from start to finish. Everything we ordered was prepared well and tasted great.
