“I've lived in Dunedin for 4 years and only today discovered this GEM of a breakfast spot! It's very vintage and has the feel of a place that's been here for decades (Gunsmoke was even playing on the tv!). The menu was terrific, I went with the French toast with ham, both cooked to perfection and affordably priced! Very comfortable dining experience. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu for lunch (burgers, sandwiches, wraps available as well as their extensive breakfast menu)“

“Excellent seafood! Fresh, perfectly cooked, great flavor! Server was awesome.. or and the bucket drinks were fantastic, as well as my Pina colada! Coming from Canada, I was excited about all the fresh fish choices. Wonderful selection..hogfish, grouper, lobster bites, shrimp, scallops & shrimp toast..omg soooooooo deeeelicious!“

“Quaint diner. Not fancy by any means, but food is good and service is excellent. Went there for breakfast for the fam after Hurricane and Helene.
Everything bwe ate was excellent.
Adults had Spanish omelet. Ternager had eggs, bacon and waffle“

“We went on a Sunday morning so the wait was exceptionally long, but that’s to be expected. The walls are lined with tons of old photos, signs, clippings, and other paraphernalia so standing around looking at all of that made the time go by faster. The service was great and the atmosphere was fun. The food was alright, but nothing amazing. It’s definitely the sort of place you go to more for the atmosphere and the people there.“

“I would love to give a big shout out to the carryout server, Diego, I completely messed up and ordered carry out for the wrong location and he walked me through the steps I needed and took my order and it was one of the fastest waits ever. I was having a very bad day and he made sure to put a smile on my face and cheered me up instantly. You can tell he clearly cares about his customers and just people in general, he deserves a raise if it was up to me, because people like him keep people coming back. I just wanna thank Diego again so much for going above and beyond, you are amazing.“

“Two enthusiastic thumbs up for Pete's Diner! They very kindly arranged to deliver a turkey dinner today to my brother (who lives in Dunedin and is recovering at home after surgery). Well, they delivered a delicious meal at 2:30pm and it was truly a HOMEMADE dinner. It was EXCEPTIONAL! From the turkey, to the gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, corn, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie with whipped cream--it was a homemade feast. We are deeply grateful to Pete's Diner for the extraordinary Thanksgiving dinner they prepared, and delivered!!!!“
