We were seated right away by a lovely hostess. We ordered Thai tea with the request to substitute coconut cream for the dairy cream(lactose intolerant), they had no problem with our request and it was so good! We also ordered the veggie sushi roll and pineapple curry. The sushi roll was quite large and very good. I had the pineapple curry with vegetables and my daughter had the same except with pork. Both were excellent and came with a small bowl of soup and a generous serving of jasmine rice! The portions were so large that we had to get to-go containers. “I've lived in Tampa for the past 25 years and have been in the Dunedin area so many times since moving down from Long Island NY, but didn't know about this place until recently. The original Umberto's is in New Hyde Park, Long Island NY, which is 10 minutes from where I grew up. One of the brothers moved to Dunedin back in the early 70's and opened this restaurant. The current owners since 1986 told me that they use the same recipes for pizza and most other dishes.Anyway.... my wife and I go over that way frequently and often get pizza to bring back home. Need to heat up some slices at the house, but it's still some of the best pizza I've found in the Tampa Bay area since moving here. Excellent ratio of sauce and cheese with high quality ingredients. So many places say NY style pizza, but the owners are not even from the NY Tri-state area and probably have never even tasted real NY pizza. They usually put so much cheese that it's like chewing bubble gum until your jaw hurts. Real NY pizza is thiner and lighter on the sauce and cheese. You gotta be able to do "The Fold".Tried the Sicilian today and it was outstanding! I highly recommend this place. Be sure to check it out if you're in the area. You'll be glad ya did.“

“We went to this place to celebrate my grandpa’s birthday, it was our first time in Clearwater and everything was just perfect. Service was great, we got drinks and coffee. We try the Garlic Knots with marinara sauce and the garlic bread with cheese. A chicken bacon ranch and a prosciutto crudo of 16” pizza great size to share. For dessert we try tiramisu and it was amazing! Coffee is 100% recommended, creamy and consistency every time! I ordered two coffees. My family had a great time, I would definitely come back! “Even though Ellies has great food, great servers and othe help except Pam who was a different story the first time she was our server. She was pretty miserable and I noticed the busers were doing pretty much all of her work. She just took our order. Busers brought menus, silverware, drinks and even did our refills. One of the other servers on the floor brought us our food. We chalked it up to she was having a bad day and even though I wanted to tip the busers, we did tip Pam! This French Toast is really a Pain Perdu. Several layers of bread are squished together and soaked. The middle is, inevitably, soggy and mushy. Obviously, some people like this presentation—I do not. Make sure you order it extra crispy as it’s a brick oven and you want the crunch when you bite into it. Our pizza was perfection. The flavor was incredible.I sat and talked to the employees since they are also from Colombia and they are extremely friendly. “It's hard finding good authentic style tacos in Tampa bay. This place serves high quality Mexican style tacos. I got the lengua, cabeza, el pastor and suadero (which was actually a carnitas). The tortilla to meat ratio is good. I don't feel they held back on meat like a lot of Mexican restaurants do. They definitely filled it up really nice. All were juicy and delicious except for the carnitas which were super fatty and greasy. The tortillas also tasted great. The ambiance had a Mexican style feel to it. “Was staying at a hotel nearby and stumbled across this place. They have burgers, chicken tenders and milkshakes. I had the three piece chicken tender meal and my fiancé had the burger. It was on the pricey side but I was expecting that since we were by the beach. What I did not expect was the size of the chicken tenders, they were very small and for the price I was expecting larger. The food itself was good and came out quickly. They also had a variety of unique sauces like Old Bay Mayo, Honey Siracha etc.“
