“This is by far my favorite gas station in the area. It is always well maintained, clean, and stocked. Early morning to mid afternoon is always the best time to get fantastic food. My favorite employee Lorinda cooks up the best fried chicken Clearwater has ever tasted. She's always there with a positive attitude and a kind word to brighten up your morning. Her chicken and and great attitude keep me coming back! Truly a diamond in the rough kind of store. If you haven't stopped in yet, you're missing out! “It's always nice when I go my waitress seemed to be new so I did give her grace she didn't bring out my cocktail till I was almost done with my food but she made up for it she got me a cheesecake on the house and apologize so they get five stars“

“I don’t go places twice on vacation, but after having a less than ideal experience at a nearby competitor, I decided to come back for the drinks and the Grouper sandwich! Courtney was my waitress, and even when slammed, she never forgot me. She was professional and did an outstanding job both times I ate with her.

As for the food, it was the best I had in Clearwater. I prefer Diner and Dive local eats compared to overpriced and pretentious restaurants. I had the seafood platter and the Grouper sandwich, and both were outstanding and grilled to perfection. I enjoyed my seafood scallops and grouper with green beans on the platter, but I LOVED my sandwich and fries!

This was also my FIRST stop on the Cocktail Challenge (four stops for four signature drinks at four locations), and I enjoyed my drink on a humid day and, if I’m being honest, loved my Dockside Lemonade the best of all the drinks on the challenge. I had the Banana Hammock and, of course, the Rum Runner, which was outstanding, but this Dockside Lemonade was cool and refreshing and welcomed. Little sweet as a heads up, but really a nice summer drink!

At the end of the day, this was a great way to start my challenge and Clearwater vacation. It can get busy with its proximity to the beach, so beware!

***For the record, if you are interested in the challenge. Go South Beach, Rockaway, Saltwater (for the views and true on-the-beach dining). End with a grouper sandwich (the best I had) at the Original and then cash in your passport at the next block at Off the Hook!“

“Surprised it was pretty good. I had a Cobb salad and my brother had the sourdough chicken something or other sandwich and the kids all had double patty burgers which they said were pretty good. The sweet potato fries were pretty good Don’t use the self service kiosk if you want to know what’s going on or where to get your cups, etc. like an idiot I did a 20% tip before getting my food and they didn’t deliver napkins with our food (although I did select napkins with my order, but you actually have to order on the kiosk screen). They didn’t salt my sweet potato fries, even though I asked for salt on them according to the kiosk.“

“You can order all you can eat if you're a big eater, if not you can order just a single item. You may want to order immediately again once your food come out so you don't have to wait so long for the next order. Otherwise, it's a nice place to visit.“

“I'm a big fan of being able to just ask whatever kind of pizza I'm in the mood for and within 10 mins or so its all ready on the buffet for one reasonable price. I like they offer an arcade as well so you can order and save would be a cute date night on a budget even. Kid friendly brought my niece and nephew with my parents and we all had a great time. The salad bar left alot to be desired and the pasta but the pizza bread and dessert was really great.“

“I will always comment on the service of Chick-fil-A first. It is second to none, and I greatly appreciate the franchise for setting that foundation of great service. That is something very hard to get today. The food is good for what they serve. But everyone knows that Chick-fil-A has a limited selection of foods. Overall, my family eats from there about four times a week. So, I must say, I prefer it above most all other fast foods.“
