this company has employees like Jerry Morabito who think its okay to attack protesters who are fighting for our freedom. š¤®
Go for the bar food, the live music, and the relaxed party atmosphere. When I was introduced to this brewery in 2000, I couldn't believe my luck. Beers much more interesting than the mass-produced, industrial lagers, men in kilts, and hand made music.
25 years later, I am disappointed by their beers. They might brew the same beers, but beer styles have evolved, brewmasters have learned a lot, and competition is fierce. The Yarnball wasn't even close to an IPA, the dark & mild came without character or a noticeable flavor profile, and the BOP was bubbly, refreshing but missing esters and or hops.
We Left
It was the Saturday before St Pat's and the main street Dunnedin was very busy. But the Dunnedin Brewery was not. We were told to take a table, we got a menu and then for 15 minutes no one came to take drink or food order.
So we left.
Always Great music, good food but the beers are always average. In terms of beer quality they are the worst in Dunedin. They donāt seem to be trying to improve the recipes either.
Craft beer is amazing! I canāt say Iāve had all the foods, but the chicken wings are phenomenal! They give you more wings than that, but they were so good. We dug right in. Crispy with really good sauces. They serve them naked and give you two sauces so good! The only reason I gave them four stars is because I havenāt tasted their other food, but as far as their wings, there are five star. āļø āļø āļøāļø
If you have a dog donāt go here. My dog is a vocal dog who wanted to be petted, and bc he barked twice the āassistantā managers was very nasty and had to announce that she was a manager š like it was a badge of honor. And threatening to kick me out if my dog barked again. Donāt worry I will leave willingly. FYI it was also a SERVICE DOG IN TRAINING. Iām a travel nurse. I surly will remember her face if she ever comes across me again.
Unique brewery with nice outdoor seating. Their list of beers had no descriptions and the bartender didnāt offer any insight or suggestions.
Unfortunately not much has changed here, other than the prices. Continually upping the price on every dish is insane. 10 bar wings? Yea thatāll be $17 plus tax! Basic fried chicken wrap, $16 plus tax. Paying premium prices for bar food is laughable. As a local and a long time customer I probably wonāt ever buy food from here anymore. Maybe Iāll come in for an overpriced peach apricot beer one last time.

Thanks for replying āownerā! Lack of sentiment echoing my review? LOL You have plenty of bad reviews. Your reply was more than enough to keep me out of your establishment for good. Appreciate you not being able to handle an honest review from a local š
Nice atmosphere, but their beers arenāt nearly as good as other breweries in the area. My recommendation, go to Caledonia or 7th Suns. Drink Chosh or Headbanger.
Dunedin Brewery is a great stop on a a Dunedin brewery tour. Their beer is refreshing, atmosphere casual, and outdoor seating relaxing. Bring your pup and have a pint! They also have a nice selection of food like pretzels and burgers that pair well with their beers.

I love this place and I am glad you are busy. I just can never find a seat for any event scheduled and I work later so I can't get there 2-3 hours before the event to find a seat.
Great place for music and beer but not for food. They used to have really good food but now it is really low quality and their "smashburger" just means it's a thin, low quality McDonald's burger. Eat before you go and save your money for the beer.
Very poor service and poor quality. We paid $68 (not including a tip, which we did leave a nice tip) for 3 beers and 3 appetizers. We were served this in paper containers and plastic forks. And we had to sit at picnic tables. So for $80, I would have rather spent this elsewhere. P.s. there was no band playing either which would have at least made it worthwhile. Will not be going back :(
Awesome craft brew. Top quality made-to-order food suitable for sharing. Attentive staff providing quick and friendly service. Great place for live professional music.
Awesome place, live music, great drinks
