When we walked into the Fenway hotel, a tenor saxophone was playing at the restaurant entrance. The brunch we had was delicious. The chef is from New Orleans and made the most amazing powdered beignets with homemade raspberry jelly. There is a beautiful rooftop bar at the top of the Fenway hotel as well.

My wife's filet was perfect - tender and cooked just like she requested. I had to eat light, so my wedge iceberg lettuce salad was outstanding, and the duck soup de jour was exceptional. Thank you for the pre-dinner champagne.

Our anniversary dinner was perfect! The steak was the best I have ever had. We have decided to make HEW our yearly tradition to celebrate our anniversary. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere was lovely.

I rarely give restaurants bad reviews, but my recent dining experience was a letdown. My friend and I ordered salads and lobster stuffed shells with a pink sauce. While the salads were decent, the main course was extremely disappointing. The shells were dry, and the pink sauce tasted more like taco seasoning and was overly spicy hot. Definitely not a usual mild pink sauce I've had numerous times at other restaurants. We were disappointed with our dining experience. Although we didn't request to speak with a manager, we expressed our dissatisfaction with the food to two different servers. Unfortunately, no manager came to apologize or acknowledge our concerns. Needless to say, we will never return!

Third visit to this restaurant. First "bad" experience. Steak cold and undercooked. Pad of butter didn't even melt. I don't like sending back food so I didn't. I ate roughly 1/4 of 12oz. Waiter offered nothing. No discussion with Management. Just the full $350+ bill. The rest of my meal was good. My wife's meal was also good. Didn't meet expectation. Ordered a cheeseburger from Uber Eats when we got back to our hotel room.

Well, this is a hard review to write as the food was good, the server was amazing, BUT the host was one of the worst we have EVER come across. Our reservation was set for a specific time, but we arrived a bit early, as many customers may do so at times. Upon arrival, the valet staff was very kind and opened all of our doors (thank you, staff!). The entry to this restaurant was a bit confusing as there is a lot going on when you first enter, BUT once you are led to the restaurant, it is easy to follow the amazing aroma of freshly cooked steak. Then came the two "hosts". First off, they were not very welcoming. The two were talking within themselves and did not have the "welcome" face on at all, but more or less a look of disgust. We mentioned that we had a reservation (which there is also a sign that says "Please walk in and seat yourself" - so none was really needed and there were MANY clean and ready tables), when we stated this to the hosts, one of them walked away and the other said the magical words that set us off "well, your reservation is for # so you are going to have to wait until then". WOW is the first word that we all said. So, we sat down (even though the "hosts" did not offer us seats to sit alongside their booth, but we sat since we had to "wait' 45 minutes. Funny enough, as we sat down and waited, people kept walking in, seating themselves and at times the "hosts" would sit others with clearly NO reservation. We waited some more until we finally got up and asked politely if we can take one of the MANY available seats and were told AGAIN by the rude "hosts" --- "your reservation is at ***. My wife did make a comment because she was upset by their demeanour, and we believe they heard my wife because all of a sudden, they had a table for us all the way in the back of the restaurant, smh. NEVER again, even though the server was great and the food was delicious. NO THANK YOU!

We family from Ireland, and wanted a nice place to enjoy fine food and good company. Unfortunately Our table was next to a table of 8-10 men, who were extremely loud. Another big group came in on the other side of the restaurant, and we noticed a party of two had similar issues, moved to another table. We were extremely disappointed that we could not have conversation, without raising our voices , leaning over the table and constantly repeating things The one room restaurant is not set up to accommodate bigger groups with smaller parties dining due to acoustics

Excellent meal and Kaitlin was wonderful as our server. My wife and I had cocktails and split two appetizers then split a large filet dinner. More than enough food and perfectly seasoned and cooked. Kaitlin was spot on with recommendations and accommodating as we slit the entree. We got full on the great appetizers but still wanted something special but not overwhelming for dinner. They delivered!
