Absolutely a must do if visiting Dunedin!!! On this evening we had a cloudy sunset, still a neat experience.

TERRIBLE service. Got there and no one was there to greet us or show us to a seat. After 5 minutes, I finally asked and we were told to seat ourselves, but we hadn’t seen any sign or indication to do so. We found a table and sat down, and had to wait 15 minutes before they brought a menu, then another 15 minutes passed so I walked up to the bar to ask for a waiter, stood there for a couple of minutes, and absolutely no one (bartender, waiter) even looked at me! The bartender was not busy … just standing right there talking and laughing with some people sitting at the bar. I began to wonder if I was invisible!! By this time, it was time to watch the sunset after that, still no waiter, table service, or anything!! I should mention they were not that terribly busy … about 2/3 of the tables were taken and about 5 people at the bar. I have never experienced this kind of service in my life!! Needless to say, we got up and left.

What a lovely night! My friend and I are regular visitors but a recent visit is inspiring this review. While the food and drink are always wonderful, my most recent visit was especially memorable. Our bartender Andrew was attentive and social and and we got the honor of getting to chime the sunset cymbals. A beautiful view and great service. Highly recommend!

I hosted a group of clients. The young lady who served us with an attitude charged me 17.50 for a buffalo trace times 2 cost me as much for a whole bottle. Then tried to con me on another drink. I have hosted many parties here and really enjoyed the service. I will not be served by her again

Located in the FenwayHotel, this rooftop bar has one of the best views of sunsets in Dunedin. Great drink selection. Some food items. We had the parm truffle fries.

Kelly the bartender is rude and doesn't know the meaning of hospitality. She needs a corporate desk job! I was very disappointed last time I went and will not be bringing friends or clients ever again!

Unfortunately we went had a great waitress, lovely girl, food and drinks were amazing and the view. Then out of nowhere a loud strong male voice yelled his is ONLY A walk up bar now!! It is too busy for 3 bartenders.. can’t make this up!
OK, that sounds like a you problem. It’s not our fault on the outskirts of the bar that you only scheduled on a beautiful day with a wedding only three bartenders. So we were like all right let’s just get our bill and get out of there but how are we gonna get our bill. They just told us that it’s too busy so we would have to walk up so we ended up spending another 45 minutes waiting for no reason when that is not how we started. I would have sat a the bar in the first place. The entire wedding party went downstairs to the bar bc of the inconvenience to the bartender… just a poor presentation.

I had an amazing experience at Hi-Fi Rooftop Bar, and Kat truly made it unforgettable! From the moment I arrived, she was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. She made excellent cocktail recommendations and ensured my group was well taken care of throughout the night. Her friendly attitude and exceptional service elevated the entire experience. I can’t wait to return—Kat definitely made this a 5-star visit! Highly recommend!
