Hog Island Fish Camp Seafood Restaurant & Bar

I ordered the green fried tomatoes in the fish and chips and everything was spot on delicious. My first time there with the baby. She loves fish. We had a great time sat outside. Nice Cool breeze. Friendly fun atmosphere. Definitely somewhere I will be going back

Food was great , the bloody Mary's were yummy and fresh oysters. The grouper sandwich we ordered blackened was yummy but kinda hard to eat < the bun kept falling apart >. We had the captains platter w/ collard greens n key lime slaw, which was very tasty. Homemade fries was good.
Great staff, they all kindly checked up on us and were all smiley. Love the inside seafood appeal. Restrooms were neat and clean. They have seating inside, front porch area and in the back patio.
Sundays they had bottomless or bloody Mary's from 11-2pm... which we missed out on. But for $6 house, isn't bad at all!!!

I enjoy their clam strips.

Food was okay. We got the hog fish sandwiches. While the fish seemed fresh, it was overly seasoned and a rather small portion for the price. The key lime slaw was good. Paying over $20 for a sandwich seems a lot for the size of fish we got.

The waitress was nice and attentive. The host who seated us could have used some more training.

Atmosphere was okay but rather dark. But I suppose that comes with the bar atmosphere.

This is my last trip to Florida and Hogfish has always been on my bucket list. I thought I'd have to go to the Keys, thankfully I found this treasure of a restaurant! I had the Salt and Pepper fried hogfish. It came with fries and key lime slaw. I also added hush puppies. The fish was outstanding! Light, flaky, and prepared to perfection. As we're the fries, slaw, and hush puppies. It was a tremendous meal. I also had the Tampa Brewing Reef Donkey IPA. It was very tasty. I got a piece of the Blackberry Lemonade pie to go. I highly recommend this restaurant. The staff and service was a 10/10. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Stopped in after a day at the beach. Dog friendly.

Fresh fish, fun vibe. Only 4 customers when I came in but still had to go to bar to order drinks. Felt like waitress forgot us.

Wanted to try something new, so I came here for the Hogfish. Also ordered the Key Lime slaw and hush puppies. The fish was very mild tasting. The slaw and hush puppies were also very good. Would definitely come back if I'm in the area again.

Great Location in Downtown Dunedin. A Block from the Waterfront and Easy Access. Food is always Good.

Happy hours were great, and drinks are on point. My clam dish was good. Customer service was great. I would come back again.

Parking: If parking is not available, there should be some around the area even if you have to walk.

Hog Island Fish Camp seafood restaurant is a great place to grab a drink and an appetizer with friends. I’ve only done this so I can’t vouch for the actual dinners themselves. But the appetizer and bar atmosphere is a lot of fun and I recommend it. The only downside is that parking seems to be a challenge all the time. Downtown Dunedin has limited parking anyway. This is very walkable if you’re visiting downtown Dunedin and that would alleviate the parking issue.
