Horrible. A bartender with blonde hair had us in her section, wouldn’t even acknowledge us besides our drink orders and made it clear she needed our card to be put on file. Fine with us. We waited 45 mins and she couldn’t even come take our order or wait on us. My husband had to wait 20 mins at the bar just to close out the tab so we could leave. I’ve been a lead waitress/cook. This was ridiculous.

Great place. Nice casual local bar. Lots of TVs to catch sports. Service could be more prompt but its good enough. Food is pretty good. Definitely check it out if you are seeking a casual place to catch a game

$9 for a shot of bourbon. That’s insane. You don’t even have live music

Hurricane Eddie’s sits right on the Dunedin Causeway, a prime spot if you want to grab a drink with friends by the water. The place itself has plenty of room, lots of seating, and an easygoing vibe that works well for groups.

The food is straightforward. The wings were standard, fried plain with sauce on the side, and the chicken wrap was fine but not memorable. It is typical bar food that does the job without offering anything special.

The drinks and service are where Eddie’s stands out. Beers are cold, prices are easy on the wallet, and both bartenders and servers kept things moving with friendly and attentive service.

If you are coming for excellent food you will probably find it average. If your goal is to hang out with friends, enjoy cheap drinks, and count on good service in a relaxed spot, Hurricane Eddie’s delivers.

Hidden gem on the causeway!
Hurricane Eddie’s is exactly what a good dive bar should be — laid back, full of character, and always welcoming. It’s got that local charm that’s hard to find these days. The bartender is fantastic — super friendly and on top of everything. You’ll always feel like a regular here, even if it’s your first time.

It’s open-air, which gives it a great beachy feel, and the prices are refreshingly reasonable. The food is way better than you’d expect from a little dive bar — definitely worth ordering. Plus, there are pool tables, darts, and just an all-around good vibe, especially if you're looking for something casual and unpretentious.

If I had one suggestion — they could use some better lighting in the parking lot. It’s easy to miss, and some people might not realize they’re open. A little live music now and then would take it up a notch too.

Still, this place is a solid spot to hang with friends, grab a drink, and feel like you’re part of the local scene. Don’t pass it by —

After the docks were destroyed at Marker 8 Grill we were looking for another place to eat lunch while out jet skiing. This is a great find with so much better food and choices, and just a short 2 block walk from where we park/anchor our waverunners. Although it is an open air bar/restaurant, it is air conditioned inside which is nice. The philly cheese steak is one of the best anywhere. Seasoned fries are fantastic. Service is always great.
