Had a great breakfast experience at Sandpiper Cafe during my vacation. Opted for the front porch seating, where our server was not only attentive but also recommended a fantastic breakfast bowl. The breakfast sandwich stole the show – easily my favorite vacation breakfast, thanks to the amazing croissant. Accompanied by lattes in generous mugs – the perfect start to the day!

Very disappointed.Everything started out great. We were greeted by a nice server and our coffee came out quickly. We ordered a muffin, fruit cup and French toast.During the, more than half hour we waited, all the other customers had finished up, paid their bill and left. A group of noisy cyclists (14) came in and took over the place. Somehow their food was coming out and ours wasn’t. I was on my second cup of coffee when another couple came in and ordered. They even got their breakfasts before us. Which made me furious. The manager/owner asked if we had actually ordered! Like we had been sitting there all this time imagining our food would miraculously appear. It seemed though all these people were regulars and obviously got preference. So rude!I’m actually glad this happened though, cause we left and found an amazing little place near the TD Ballpark, where we were treated well, delicious food, and service was so much better!

Maybe it was an off day given the high reviews, but thought this place was just ok. The Avocado Tartine (sans ham) came with store bought guacamole. We asked for the breakfast potatoes to be extra crispy ("burnt" per my wife), but came out looking nothing close to that. The service was lacking; we didn't get checked on until we were done eating and ready to go. The coffee was very good though.

David, the owner, is one of the most welcoming of his peers. Always a big smile. His staff is likewise very accommodating and conscientious of your order and satisfaction. You don't have to ask for a coffee refill - it's always there. Prices for food and coffee are quite fair in comparison to the other six or so coffee shops.Besides a cozy inside seating area with walls lined with affordable gifts there's the expansive outside deck. It is filled a with comfortable chairs and large tables suitable for groups, kids, and family pets. It has recently been enclosed with a new roof to protect patrons from wind, rain, and sun.Try the Sandpiper. Besides good coffee and good food experience the smiles from staff and customers. You will not be disappointed. And say hello to Smiling Dave for me.

Found the Sanpiper while looking for a place for a cup of coffee. What I got was much more! The service was really good and friendly, and the food and coffee was too. I had a simple egg and cheese croissant and an Americano. I will be back for more the next time I'm in the area.

Great little breakfast place! The sausage and egg croissant is amazing. So juicy and fresh. Wish I lived here so i could get it all the time! They also have a cute shop if you need some knick knacks for your house. Highly recommend.

While on vacation, we stopped for coffee at Sandpiper Cafe. It is a quaint, cottage style Cafe with plenty of room. They offer inside and outside seating in a terrace area. They offer a variety of coffee options with non-dairy alternatives. They have a full menu and delicious bakery options. In addition, they have an area with homemade jellies and preserves as well as gifts for all ages. David, the owner, was gracious and took a picture with us as he is an author of children's books. We had a delicious breakfast, and had an autographed book and picture taken with the author himself! ?. It was an overall wonderful experience. When in Dunedin, I highly recommend passing by Sandpiper Cafe.

My husband and I have been visiting the Clearwater area, for vacation, for years now. The Sandpiper is one of our most favorite breakfast spots! Their outside dining area is too cute, and the food and coffee is always great. This morning when we stopped in, before heading to the airport, we found a table inside. It was a little too chilly outside, and we had our 9 month old with us. Our waiter was a younger guy who was super friendly and eager - he was working hard with a big smile on his face! I ordered a latte, that was delicious, until it got in arm's reach of my baby. He spilled it all over the floor which I felt terribly about. Our waiter came over instantly and happily began to clean up the spill. The owner was working this morning as well, and he joined in cleaning up the spill - both men were so kind. Our waiter then brought over a fresh latte for me, which I hadn't asked for. So sweet! We already loved the Sandpiper - but even more now! We will be back of course!

Sandpiper is a gem in downtown Dunedin. The outdoor seating is a hidden paradise providing shade from both plants and umbrellas. I usually order the steel cut oats bowl which is a delicious, build-your-own oatmeal experience, but today I tried an Italian sandwich from the lunch menu and it was great; affordable for the portion size. Prompt and friendly service. The owner, David, is incredibly outgoing and kind. I highly recommend Sandpiper Café for breakfast, lunch, and surprisingly their assortment of vintage postcards!

I eat here almost every Sunday. I love the area. Food is very good. I always feel like a restaurant in the keys while there.
