The best margarita in town
We came in for brunch around 11 am for my birthday with a party of 6. The restaurant is very cute but the bathroom was not clean and there was no toilet paper or paper towels in the ladies room. My fault for finding that out the hard way.
We sat upstairs and three of our group ordered flavored mojitos. Out of the three only one was correct. Later the server stated that they don't have all of the fresh juices for the flavors, so some aren't very good, but she didn't mention that when we ordered.
We ordered brunch and it was delivered very chaotically. Two meals delivered and then a long wait for the rest. I ordered the breakfast enchiladas with chorizo. They did not have any eggs in them though they were supposed to. We ordered the fruit platter with the cream but it came without and when we asked we were told it would come later but it never did. Sauce for the bowl showed up about ten minutes after we received our food. We also asked for extra plates which never came. The restaurant was not overly busy, but seemed like they thought we were on vacation and it didn't matter to make sure that our experience was a good one.
The food was ok, the service was ok, overall it was ok but that was disappointing since we drove out from Plant City which is over an hour away. I would not go back for just ok. The salsa was delicious.

Super nice staff and cool vibe inside. However, the food is not great and their beer selection is limited. They did seem to have a large mixed drink option.
Cool place to hang out, but skip the food.

We Stopped and had an after dinner drink we ordered two skinny margaritas. I’m not a big drinker so my fault for not ordering top shelf tequila lol after tasting them clearly they had no tequila in them. I asked the bartender to please correct the drink or take them off the bill. She said she’d make it right, got the bill and she charged us extra money for the cheap tequila shots to make it right…. next time should be more transparent. I’ve worked in the service industry enough to know what she should’ve said is “I can make it right but it’s gonna cost you extra for a shot, “”nine out of 10 bartenders and decent restaurants with tequila would make the customer happy . this is the third time we’ve gone there, which is 2 more then they deserve. The food was extremely horrible. We are Dunedin residents and frequently the locals restaurants every week but I vow we will never go to that establishment again because we like to spend money in Dunedin and we tip well I did note on my bill that the extra money she charged us for the rock guy tequila shots was her tip.

I love this restaurant. The rooftop bar is fantastic. Not very busy upstairs when the downstairs is always packed. It has covered seating and plenty of breezes.
Vegetarian options: A lot of the items in the menu can be made vegetarian upon request. I’ve had the burrito and the tacos all made vegetarian, and they are flavorful and delicious.
Parking: Parking here can be a challenge as it’s close to several different restaurants and some of it is private parking for different restaurants. Look around the back in the alley for parking and then there’s a parking lot kitty corner in a parking ramp. It’s easy to walk over.

Ordered the lobster tacos. Each taco had a piece of lobster literally the size of the top half of my index finger for $25!! Very disappointed!!

Went on a Saturday for dinner with some friends. The place wasn't too busy but service was extremely slow. At one point, we had 3 different servers attending to us for some reason, and we had to repeat orders made with the others.

We took our family here for a birthday dinner for our daughter in law, her choice. We ended up pretty disappointed. The food is average at best, the prices were on the high side for Mexican food, and the service was pleasant but extremely slow. We were one of probably 4 tables at the time, so it wasn't due to the restaurant being overly busy.

Absolutely LOVED everything about Senor Rita's! I am a huge Mexican food fan, especially some good tacos and margaritas. The Watermelon Margarita was on point, and the Barbacoa Tacos were delicious! We sat at the upstairs bar area, and Amanda was excellent... we will definitely be back to visit her!
