Great music by Flycatcher, service by Joanne was stellar. She needs a raise!

This was our second visit within one week, and unfortunately the service issues were consistent both times.

On both visits, service was extremely slow. Each time, I had to walk up and ask for a menu. During today’s visit, we were seated on the patio and ultimately had to borrow a menu from another patron, then go inside ourselves to place a wine and food order.

The first bottle of wine we requested was out of stock, which is understandable. I then selected a specific backup, but when the bottle arrived at the table, it was not what I ordered. I was never shown the label to approve, which is especially frustrating when ordering wine.

We also had to go inside again to order food and request the check. While it was busy today due to a local festival and the staff appeared understaffed, the level of service really suffered. That said, our first visit (not during a festival) had many of the same issues: items unavailable and very slow service.

The space has a great setting and a great vibe, which is why this is disappointing. There’s a lot of potential here, but customer service, staffing, and speed of service need serious attention to match the atmosphere.

The level of professionalism is highly appreciated in a world of aggressive discrimation. It was a relaxing experience.

Wonderful wine bar with a white selection of wines from all over the world. Several price levels and they hav
e Charcuterie and snacks., They are a little expensive. The truffle popcorn is awesome.
Update: the south african chenin blanc is one of my go tos, or the (red) zinfanndel.

Went to Stirling Wine to see Dean Johannessen play in a very small venue. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us in a standing room only situation. We had a super time and the clientele and staff were amazing. Not to forget mentioning Dean and his live music was outstanding as usual! The charcuterie board , condiments and wine were exceptional. A very memorable evening, Thank you Stirling Wine.

This is THE wine bar to go to in the area. Nice snacks, good crowd, great selection of wines. Lots of live music all the time. If you can get a table, this is your best bet for service — forget the bar (bartenders walk by unable to make eye contact because on phone, and there’s this nasty habit of people who stand at the end of the bar to get served before people who are sitting AT the bar)

YOU MUST VISIT STIRLING when you're in Dunedin! We vacationed here for a couple of weeks, and we went to Stirling every night except Sunday to listen to their live music and have a glass of wine. The vibe is mellow and intimate. We've been impressed by the quality of the musicians (at no cover charge).

The wine list is endless. We enjoyed the Windstorm Red Blend and the Windstorm Chardonnay at reasonable prices. One night, I had a glass of a different Chardonnay that cost $24 per glass, so make sure you know what you're buying. The wine menu is inside, so it's easier to order inside and take your drink outside to see the musicians. You can hear the music from inside, so stay in if you choose.

The hostesses are gracious and helpful. They seem to be genuinely happy to have you there.
