We had dinner last night and it was amazing! Love the pace of the courses and the pork belly may be the best appetizer I've ever had. The wine pairing was great and we can't wait to have dinner again. Reservations are limited but plan it out and enjoy a nice meal in a quiet, romantic setting.
One of the best dinners I've had in a long time. Food was outstanding, flavors, seasonings etc. were spot on. Portions were good did not leave hungry.
Server was great but will never get over the sommelier recommending dessert wine over $50+ per glass for the table and not disclosing that.
Went twice in one week, experienced many different dishes. My favorite was the seared foe gras, grouper, filet, tartan. This is a French dinner experience, for an experienced palate. And you will have to shell.out a bit more, but totally woth it! Well done, LT
Black pearl is one of our favorite restaurants in Tampa. The food is delicious. The ambiance is intimate with normally a quiet noise level. Yesterday was unfortunately a bit louder lets' say it was moderate. The service is good and delicate. A couple of suggestions - no sweetness in the dressing for the house salad. Olive oil, lemon or vinegar, herbs would be fabulous. I am French so I do not particularly like cinnamon. 3 desserts had cinnamon in it. However the deconstructed cheesecake ( not too sweet yay!) and the white chocolate cake were delicious. Thank you! We'll be back
The food was prepared and served well. Service was just too pretentious. Wine was marked up 3-5 times coat. Staff is overly scripted to the point that the experience felt unnatural. They place a 20 % tip on the bill because they don't trust that you will leave them one. I won't be back.
The venue is nice located in the middle of downtown Dunedin. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The service was good. The appetizer, salad and bread were delicious. The main entree was good. It was a nice night out with friends celebrating a birthday.
We recently had the privilege of celebrating my husband's birthday at The Black Pearl, and I cannot say enough about the extraordinary experience we had. From the very beginning, the staff not only accommodated our schedule but they went out of their way to ensure every detail of the evening was special. My husband has traveled the world extensively, and what truly set this experience apart was the warmth, sincerity, and attentiveness of the entire team. Their thoughtful gestures and genuine kindness transformed our dinner into far more than a meal - it became a memory we will forever cherish. This celebration held particular significance for us, as my husband if facing terminal illness. The compassion and care shown by the staff turned what could have been a bittersweet occasion into a night filled with joy, comfort, and love. For that, we are profoundly grateful. The cuisine was beyond exceptional, the atmosphere welcoming, and the service impeccable. But most importantly, the people at The Black Pearl demonstrated the rare gift of hospitality at its highest level - not simply serving guests but touching lives. Particularly, since they knew nothing of us. We wholeheartedly recommend The Black Pearl to any connoisseurs seeking not only a sublime dining experience with food that will make their senses dance with jubilation, but also a place where kindness and humanity shine as brightly as the food and service. Sincerely, Mary Chu
Best restaurant in Dunedin and the only fine dining experience nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will be going back.

Fantastic dining experience! Food was out of this world, waiter was awesome. Definitely ask the Semmolier about what wine to order with your meal! Everything about this place was out of this world.
One of our favorite places when in the area. Food is always top notch. The filet, the risotto and grouper all got thumbs up from our group and our waiter was excellent.
The food and environment are great. This was our third time dining there and will not be our last. Our sever Jay was great with excellent recommendations
The wine list was limited with a lot of expensive French wine and not a broad selection of other wine. The Somm was very good. The salad was OK, not extraordinary for a place with 11 tables and prices at the high end of the market. The Filet was tender and very good. Mashed potatoes and vegetables were luke warm. The food was very good overall. Temperature was the issue. Service was attentive and very good. Bananas Foster was outstanding. Great place for the community that we all should continue to support.
