The wine list was limited with a lot of expensive French wine and not a broad selection of other wine. The Somm was very good. The salad was OK, not extraordinary for a place with 11 tables and prices at the high end of the market. The Filet was tender and very good. Mashed potatoes and vegetables were luke warm. The food was very good overall. Temperature was the issue. Service was attentive and very good. Bananas Foster was outstanding. Great place for the community that we all should continue to support.

It was a really amazing experience, the dinner was little over 2 hours didn't seem that long. Everything comes out in order and we did it just like that. The waiter was awesome and so was the wine guy. Would recommend black pearl to anyone in the area wanting a nice old school vibe and top notch service and top notch tasting foods.

I celebrated my birthday at The Black Pearl in Dunedin, and the entire experience blew me away. From the moment I walked in, the team knew it was a birthday celebration and made it feel so special.
The service was flawless. Adam, the sommelier, was not only attentive but also made incredible recommendations for both dining and wine pairings including a dessert wine that was the perfect finishing touch. His stories transported us back in time and added such a unique, memorable layer to the evening.
Each course was better than the last, showcasing both creativity and perfection in flavor. It’s rare to find a dining experience where every detail feels so thoughtfully curated, but Black Pearl delivered exactly that.

Absolutely delicious! Everything we had was amazing. I highly recommend the filet, the pork belly, and the apple tartin. My husband had the duck which was also good but he was jealous of my steak lol
They bring out the food in courses with a salad and palette cleanser and so it is a whole dining experience.

This was a very unexpected and pleasant surprise to us! Amazing service, amazing food, although small it was wonderful! Brownie points for having a thin pashmina Shaw for me. I wore a sweater but was still freezing. The Smollelier noticed this and brought me not one but two!! Was so wonderful. We have been only one other place that had this. Awesome attention to detail!! Thank you for a wonderful evening!
