The employees couldn't be nicer or more friendly. The atmosphere is so authentic. It's a lot shorter than going to Hawaii. The food was delicious. You have to get the huli huli chicken. This is a great gem. We will definitely be back.

100% best bar in Dunedin, best Tiki bar in the whole of Tampa Bay, and the only legitimate Mai Tai on the west coast of Florida.

I love this place and Dunedin! They have great food, they have a great tiki bar with live music outback, you can bring their dog there. And the food is really great! I always get the Hawaiian fish with the black rice and it has a really long name that you can't say.😬 go try them out! They are awesome.

OMG, I've been living here way to long not to know about this place prior to our recent visit. Well let me tell you, this is the cutes Hawaiian Tiki Bar/Restaurant around. The decor, the atmosphere, staff, and location were amazing. The drink menu 😋 something for everyone, drinks are rated, stronge, stronger, strongest and there is also a notation for drinks that can be made with no alcohol. Food was very tasty, they do have live music, parking can be a bit tricky however, there is a FREE parking garage very close by. I will definitely be back, now that I found you.

Had a wonderful trip to Dunedin on Saturday. Lovely weather so enjoyed the outdoor patio with some classic Tiki cocktails and really good apps. Def try the Furikake Fries! Wonderful service and a great time! Look forward to trying out the Rum bar the next time!

First time here, and probably the last. The food was very disappointing. Small portions and very poorly cooked. You expect more for what you pay. Look elsewhere locally as there’re many other places in Dunedin that offer so much more for less!

I wanted to leave a review about the experience my group had last Saturday. I left a review through the Honu receipt option and the owner replied with attacks that were unwarranted. I’ll make this review short because I’m done putting time into this place, but the level of professionalism displayed by the owner of this establishment needs to be reflected through one bad review. She will attempt to have this review removed from Google, but I want Google to know that this is a fair review and it should not be taken down. To anyone else that plans to go here, hopefully you don’t have to deal with the owner because she is not kind. Thank you Google

This is the first time I am trying Honu.

I think the atmosphere is decorated really well and has a good outdoor vibe. The server was very good and was attentive to what we need.

I love Hawaii and have been there three times and able to experience great food. So I was excited to try what this place offers.

The drinks were well decorated and had a good menu of creative Hawaiian drinks.

However I was disappointed in the food. The food portions were extremely small. It was overpriced for what you get. I ordered the fire dancing plate and sad to say that it was not good at all. The rice was so soft that it had to much water when they cooked it. The entire dish had no flavor. I wanted to finish it but only able to eat a couple of bites.

I may want to come back and try some of their other dishes.

The Honu tiki bar restaurant is a hidden oasis located near downtown Dunedin. This incredible and unique restaurant is a must visit. Starting off our experience the key word was Rum. So many amazing cocktails to try, all tropical and wonderful. We did try as many as we could and still walk. The musubi was interesting. We missed trying it while in Hawaii. That’s okay. We really don’t need to do that again. Be sure, we do like Spam. Enough there. Try the Painkiller (or several). The Zombie (the tasty kind) was wonderful. They do limit you to two Zombies, makes sense if you ever had one. Switching to the Honu Rum Punch put us back on track. At this point we felt food would be a good idea. The Fire Dancing Plate and The Big Kahuna Burger are very delicious choices. Finally the Kona Coffee Brownie closed out a fantastic meal. At a table near us they ordered the BBQ pork and Kalua pork, the aroma from that table wafting over cemented our return visit to try more offerings. We sat outside in the Tiki bar where live music was playing a spectrum mix of tunes from Buffet, Tom Petty and I seem to remember an Indigo Girls song being chucked in. The whole atmosphere of the restaurant sent us back to Hawaii. Jacob and the staff was friendly and helpful. We are definitely planning a return visit for the Aloha vibe.

Wife and I have passed this location many many times so tonight we decided to stop in for dinner. You have tithe option to sit outside, inside and tikibar seating area. We opted to sit inside due to potential rain. Inside was quiet with lots of Hawaiian decor from floor to ceiling. According to our server they have 500 rum drinks to choose from. We are not much of a drinker so we passed on that. They have a small menu that is dedicated to Hawaiian flavors. We ordered PuPu platter and mixed plate. Both were full of flavor and the Pupu platter comes with a little grill to reheat you protein in case it gets cold because you’re chitchatting. Service was friendly and quick. Definitely an experience we didn’t expect with the mini grill. We will be back to try other items on the menu.
