Four of us ate here for the first time recently, and we were all very impressed with the quality of the food, cocktails, wine selection, and attentiveness by the wait staff. I've deducted 1 start because of the noise level. We had a hard time hearing our waiter and ourselves, and we all have perfect hearing. I hope they install some noise abatement panels or something in the future. Lovely place! Glad it's in the area. Cheers.
Enjoyable restaurant and an excellent menu to choose from even vegan. Definitely will back!
we had a delicious brunch with an inventive flight of mimosas (ask them to double to puree/flavor and halve the prosecco) plus beignets that were TO DIE FOR delicious!! (a misconception from the menu is that they are flavored - they are all plain with a berry dipping sauce.) And also had a fluffy and flavorful mushroom omelette that was spectacular! Even the side salad was plentiful and tasty - ask for the green goddess dressing. all of this was topped off with great service from Ashlyn who was bubbly and helpful and checked in often. The only peeve on a sunny Sunday is that the interior is dark and there was a DJ playing inside - a little too early - maybe have him show up at 3pm when the younger party crowd is just getting out of bed?
Used to be one of our favorite restaurants, they used to have good home-cooked stick to your ribs, type meals, and all those are gone no short ribs, no Bolognese, all the good items that were on the menu are now gone and they're swapping to some kind of bowl Dishes, ridiculous absolutely ridiculous. Another restaurant gonna go down the tubes because they couldn't leave the menu alone ,most likely we won't be back. I don't know who they expect to cater to, but I'm pretty sure we won't be back. It's too bad.
I hate to give a bad review...I always do research before choosing a restaurant and go expecting a wonderful experience. So, it is with sadness that I write this. First of all, the noise level is terrible. We asked to move tables, but that didn't help much. If you love a noisy vibe, then maybe you won't mind. Service was very slow, probably because the restaurant was packed. However, they should be prepared for that. It took a half hour to take our drink order. It was almost an hour before our food order was taken and then another 15 minutes before even our appetizers or bread arrived. I don't like speedy service, but this was unreasonable. The items I wanted to order (I checked out the menu online) were not on the menu. They admitted that the online menu is not even close to accurate. There were 4 of us at the table and everyone else seemed to like their dinners. My steak was lukewarm at best and the potatoes were covered in a sauce that was so spicy I couldn't eat them. The bread also comes with a spicy Feta spread and the arancini also were in a spicy sauce. Once again, if you like spicy you may not mind, but for me it was too many spicy things. It also took a long time before we got the bill after we were through easting. It was obvious that they were understaffed and probably the kitchen was overwhelmed, but that's part of the picture if you own a restaurant. My advice to this restaurant is to increase the staff, hire more cooks, or stagger reservations. Update your online menu and consider putting in something that absorbs sound.
We were looking forward to our experience but we were disappointed by the event. The service was good. The breakfast sandwiches were good, the ultimate chimichunggia was too bready and had dno flavor. The avocado toast was also disappointing. The DJ was playing noise too loudly and the percussion was so loud it was physically palpable. I am glad we went but it will be a long time before we try it again. .
Top notch service and top notch food. We went for Mother's Day and everyone was extremely satisfied.
Great brunch with my wife, sister, and mother for Mother's Day. Staff made it very special.
We did not end up dining here this visit, though have many times in the past.. Made Easter reservations for brunch - checked the online menu as well as the specials / events section. Nothing there showed a special "Pre Fix" Easter menu- or whatever they named that menu upon arrival. It was $50 per person + 20% service fee + drinks. We left. It should have been advertised.
It was a fixed Easter menu, which I didn't know about until we got there, but that was fine. It was $50 a person. The whole point of a Fix menu is so that there's not that many choices and it shouldn't take that long. It took us two hours to get our meal. We ordered bottomless mimosas and the guy came back twice. So we paid for bottom but basically got two. The service is awful. The food was bland and it was a very big disappointment.

Outstanding dining experience. Have been to The Living Room many times. Food is always excellent, but service can be sketchy. Party of 6 including our 6-year-old granddaughter. We ordered a bunch of apps, drinks and entrees and as usual the food was outstanding. We requested Joe as our server because he has taken care of us on one of our previous visits. Joe is friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and took great care of us again. The prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food, and we don't mind the 20% added surcharge because when we get good service we generally add more than that to the bill. Highly recommend The Living Room and Joe.
Overall a nice night. Service was a little slow and inattentive. Don't think the automatic 20% provides any incentive. Drinks are overpriced and light on alcohol, but that is par for the course these days. Need to change the live music. Food was good.
We went, all Kilted up after the Dunedin Highland Games and Festival. Food was fantastic! Service was very good! It was a delight finish to wonderful day!
You will love this place as well the food and service! Been coming here for years and it NEVER disappoints!!
Went out with my wife. We had an excellent experience. The space is nice feels very cozy. At times it got a little loud as it was quite busy. The staff was very attentive. We shared a couple of apps and really enjoyed the food.
