Before I start, the food was great and was not at all the problem. However, our server provided arguably the worst service I have ever received across the entire of the southeast that I have traveled to. As a server myself, I have never been to a restaurant where I was not once provided an itemized bill prior to paying. Other tables received a checkbook, however we were told to pay up front but were not provided a check. Upon going upfront, he proceeded to run our credit card before providing an itemized bill prior, and we did not receive one after. The prices on the menu reflected that our bill should’ve been around $65 accounting for tax and rounding up a bit for safe measure, however our bill was $72 and did not add up. On top of this, we were not once checked on our entire time. Our drinks, chips, and anything else you could think of ran out and was bone dry and there was not a server in sight. However, it was not very busy and there was no excusable reason for the service provided. We paid our bill without making a huge scene, but if you are in the area I would absolutely recommend traveling further to a better restaurant. Server to server, absolute shame to treat your tables like this when you rely on tips to make your living. Do better.

I have been eating at this El Jalisco’s for many years. I used to be a fan. Not after eating their chicken sandwich. Two cardboard, store bought, chicken fingers slapped between a stale bun with a side of frozen fries. The menu didn’t say chicken finger sandwich? And how do you grill or fry pre-packed chicken fingers? I won’t return. The trust has been broken.

Our server was courteous and prompt. The margarita I had tasted good, and the platter I had was very tasty. A nice surprise right in Eastpoint.

I have eat here for 35 years every time I visit and it never disappoints. The shrimp omlet is my favorite.

Stopped in for a late dinner. First time in the area. Service was super slow.
Cheese dip was ok. I prefer mine chunky. Chips were good. Came out warm. The mild sauce was bland. Hot salsa had a smoked chipotle flavor, which I did not care for. My husband and I shared a plate. The rice was decent. The beans were salty. I did not like the enchilada sauce. More like a gravy. The same sauce was used on the tamale. The tamale was more masa than meat. My husband enjoyed his chicken burrito. 4 stars for atmosphere because the restaurant was clean and I really liked the decor with Talavera. Will not return.

The most amazing and authentic Mexican restaurant I've been to. And I've been to many places in the US but this place takes the cake. A wonderful chill atmosphere with amazing food and drinks. What more could someone want? Definitely stop by here if you get a chance!
