We e had a 25 minute wait before we could be seated. That's way too long due to people that had finished eating and sitting and visiting. Our food was like warm, pricey for this kind of service.

This place is fantastic and worth the drive. The portions are decently sized. The seafood portions are also nicely sized. I got pleasantly full on my meal. The shrimp and scallops were fresh and delicious with a lovely seasoning on them. They were grilled to perfection. The staff were professional, friendly, and helpful. I will definitely be making this one of my regular stops when I head back to the beach. Highly recommend for friends and families alike.

Big portions of delicious, fresh seafood. A screened patio overlooking the water to watch the sun set. Great service- fast and attentive. Reasonable prices. What more could you want from a casual local seafood joint?!?!

Food was good but the waitress seemed like she was ready for us to get out within 10 minutes of being served our food.

Ordered the Seafood Sampler, feed 2 of us easily. Ordered it fried- it was very tasty, not one bit greasy. Sat on the screened in patio, enjoyed the view of the bay.

We chose this place based on several good Google reviews, the slightly cheaper prices compared to Blue Parrot, and the convenient location right on Route 98 with a nice bay view. Unfortunately, it ended up being a big disappointment.

In short: the food was not fresh and poor to inedible, the service was inattentive, and the overall experience was not worth the price. We will not be back and would not recommend it to others.

Things started off badly as soon as we walked in. There was a sign asking guests to wait to be seated. After several minutes the hostess came out looking annoyed, like we were inconveniencing her. When we asked to sit outside, she simply said, “Sit anywhere you want.” On the way to the table, we noticed a sign that read, “You ordered it, you pay for it,” which ended up feeling a bad omen by the end of the meal.

The restaurant was not busy — only a few other tables were occupied — yet service was still very slow. When we asked for recommendations, the waitress suggested the grouper and shrimp dishes. My wife ordered the topped grouper with shrimp, scallops, and their house Alfredo sauce with sides of fried okra, and cheese grits. I ordered the bacon-wrapped stuffed shrimp with fries and corn nuggets.

The grouper was extremely disappointing. It was chewy and tough, clearly not fresh, and covered in oily, separated sauce with other unidentifiable ingredients. The okra and grits were bland, and the shrimp was the only decent part of the plate. My wife ate some but ultimately was afraid she would be ill if she continued.  My shrimp dish was better, but still greasy and nothing special.

Once we ate all we could stomach — and after reading additional recent reviews mentioning many of the same problems — we were ready to leave. Some reviews also mentioned surprise charges appearing on bills, so we were disturbed by the payment process itself. As soon as the waitress learned we were paying by card, she immediately handed over the Clover payment screen with the tip options already displayed. The setup initially hid the itemized bill, making it impossible to verify the charges without backing out of the payment screen. I eventually figured it out, but the lack of transparency did not sit well with either of us.

There was a 3% surcharge for paying with a credit card, that was tacked on AFTER we paid the bill. I understand restaurants wanting to offset processing costs, but a clearly posted notice beforehand would have been appreciated so we could have chosen to pay with cash.

On our way out, we saw the same “You ordered it, you pay for it” sign again. By that point, it no longer felt like a joke or policy reminder — it felt like the restaurant knew customers would be unhappy with the food.

Overall, we expected much fresher seafood given the location right on the bay, but the experience fell far short; it was the most disappointing meal we’ve had in recent years. . Our advice: skip it (unless you like paying for overpriced, inedible meals).

A little less crowded than the other places around but the food is great and it's on the water. The staff were super friendly. Will definitely go back.

The waitress, Sarah, was the only positive of our entire experience. The food is awful- FROZEN SEAFOOD- from a Bayfront restaurant! Never again. Save your money and go elsewhere; literally anywhere else!!!
