I stopped by Island View Seafood in Eastpoint, FL, expecting a good deal on fresh fish. While the shop is clean and the staff is polite, the prices were shockingly high — much more than I’ve paid at other seafood markets in the area.
Honestly, I regret buying fish here. The quality didn’t justify the premium price, and I left feeling like I overpaid. If you’re looking for fresh seafood without breaking the bank, Hunt’s in Port St. Joe is a far better choice. Their prices are much more reasonable, and the quality is just as good, if not better. It’s worth the extra drive to save money and still get great seafood.
I can’t recommend Island View based on my experience — your wallet will thank you for going elsewhere.

A wide variety at reasonable prices. We vacation down here every year and mostly cook in because of the size of our family. That means 2-3 trips to Island View to pick up what we need.

We stopped here on our way home from Mexico Beach to get oysters. They had a nice selection of fresh fish, crab, and oysters. We bought a bit of everything, and they packed it up nicely with some ice. Excellent quality fresh caught seafood and equally good service. I made oysters Rockefeller when we got home, so fresh and delicious!

Took a charter fishing tour. Absolutely incredible, a great four hours. John is a great host and will absolutely be doing every time we come to visit St. George’s Island and Apalachicola. 100% 6/5 recommend.
