“We had a fantastic meal! The beet poke was fresh and had great flavor and the 3 ramen dishes we ordered were all out of this world good! I had a sake cocktail that was refreshing and well balanced and my hubby had a nice sweet potato beer. Definitely worth the hour drive for us!”

“This place appears child friendly but I went last night with my hubby for a date. Best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had in my life. Ceviche app was also chef’s kiss. My husband had the Chicken and Hoecakes dish. Again, 🤯! The desert was okay but everything else including staff were phenomenal. Atmosphere was nice, dim lighting surrounds you in raw architecture with an intimate feel. Drinks were also incredibly good. If you’re on the fence, get off it and go!”

“Oooooookay, let me just say Mr Campbell(soup) was ALL TOO accommodating! Didn’t want the 4 cookie box, so he packaged my cookies in 2bags for me. I got the rolled oatmeal, and triple chocolate and MY OH MY……!!!!!!!! I also got a scoop of dragonfruit strawberry sorbet(I could’ve gotten those backwards) and I wanted a waffle bowl but they didn’t have any so he hooked me up with those waffle crisp thingymajigger things, and he was so thrilled about it, he asked if I wanted sprinkles, I said no at first, but he wanted to work his creativity so bad I gave in. It turned out to be the cutest cup of sorbet ever!!! Hands DOWN the best MayDay experience I’ve EVER HAD…..and my wife and I have been to quite a few!!”

“What an amazing place. The food was fabulous. I had the chicken, eggs and cheese grits. OMG that breakfast was the best. The grits were excellent and I am super picky about my grits. The eggs were cooked perfect and the chicken was juicy and delicious. I then got the best biscuit I have ever had with cinnamon maple butter. Perfection from start to finish. Mari (the owner) was friendly and helpful. She took time to engage every customer no matter how busy she was. For you first timers parking is limited and it's counter ordering. There is not a lot of seating inside (fyi). BUT do not let either of these things discourage you the FOOD is absolutely, whole heartedly worth it. It's open Wednesday thru Sunday 8am to 12 noon. Do not walk; run to The West Egg! ENJOY”

“Used Sonny’s to cater our reception dinner for our son and now daughter..sliced turkey,pulled pork,Mac & cheese,baked beans,coleslaw and rolls were on point..also had sweet & unsweet tea and lemonade…everyone was well fed and satisfied with the food,as many said,its hard to go wrong with Sonnys..🤤..”

“What a wonderful experience from start to finish! Had to get my tires replaced next door and the guys at Discount Tire recommended this place. Very warm welcome when I walked in, and had the best service from Catie who gave me all the best recommendations. The dry rub ribs are impeccable, and the mac n cheese was delicious, all her recommendations were top notch! I was also having a very stressful day when I walked in, and I will say that she made the day so much better by being personable and attentive. I happen to be in the same industry and therefore have higher standards than most people, and I will say the service was incredible from start to finish! Made me forget about all my worries for the hour I spent here, and that’s what this industry is all about. Catie is awesome, and if she isn’t already a lead server here, she damn well should be. Will definitely be back for more ribs and Mac n cheese. Thank you”

“Food was amazing, staff was sweet, general vibe was great- which I found pleasantly abornmal for a place that serves this type of food. There were two small parking lots on the side as well, free parking! Extremely vegan and gluten free friendly, lots of vegetarian options as well. I tried a handful of things off the menu and it was all fantastic. Greatly appreciated the mushroom latte options! Beet poke bowl was perfect for the beach, so much flavor and the beets were soft and perfect. It did well in the cooler for hours, although the takeout box became limp and soggy from being inside the cooler. Don't be fooled by the photos, this place is a hidden gem. I would honestly say it's the best vegan food that I've ever had in florida. I would ditch the Daytona beach / New Smyrna areas completely solely for this restaurant”
