We stopped here yesterday, parked, had a beer. Thought we would walk across the street to check out the beach scene. While we were gone, the bartender had our car towed. She said we didn’t have a drink there, I reminded her we did and even took a picture. She said we should’ve communicated with her that we would be back. So, fortunately, the tow company was close by and took my husband to get our car. The tow company told my husband that Calico Jacks called them once to tow a car and the owners were sitting right at their bar. So, be careful if you choose to go here. 2 beers+tip=$10, recovery of vehicle =$150. A pretty expensive lesson learned. We’ve been here before and had no issues. We will not be back.

Old school beach bar, dark and smoky like I like my dive bars to be! Definitely a more locals spot that has good local bands. The only thing was they only take cash which wasn't that big of a deal.

Parked in front of geraldi’s to grab a sub. After noticing it was closed on Sundays, we walked across the street to eat considering our original option was closed. Not 20 min later my truck was towed by the bartender at Calico Jacks. What’s her incentive in calling a towing company when parking was widely available? Also barely any signage indicating it was a towing zone. Seems like they worked out a deal with the towing company in my opinion, apparently the company receives at least 2 calls from them every weekend for this parking lot which is in front of a different restaurant.

Staff and bartenders here are miserable grumps who will call a tow company on your car after 5 mins of temporarily parking your car in front. Unreal.

The drink specials are nice. The smoke is heavy here and is very unpleasant.
The only affordable bar in Englewood Florida, great drink bargains, and if you got um,smoke um,you can smoke and call your ex mother in-law!

I’m a local and decided to try out calico jacks. Went in and the bartender walked by me several times figured she was busy so I was being patient never looked at me or served me. Stayed there for almost 15 minutes and decided to go to the better bars in the area. I’ll never be back it’s a dump.
