Let's start with the positive . The food was good, not exceptional, not memorable. Nothing out of the ordinary. Review goes downhill from there. Let's start with the fact that we went in there 3 weeks ago to make the reservation. Specifically mentioned that it was my 70th birthday and that my daughters were flying in to celebrate me. We asked for a certain section and were told they could accommodate us. We were very excited to try this new restaurant. Fast forward, we were placed at the worst table in the restaurant, right by the access to the kitchen. We complained and they actually moved another couple to our table and moved us to the area we requested, which was incredibly awkward and uncomfortable for both parties. We were then told there was no guarantee that they could honor the request for the area we wanted....what's the point of making reservation in advance?

Fast forward to the dining experience, the service was lousy!!! Ordered bread, which took almost 45 minutes to get. Appetizer came before the bread!! Our steaks were placed in front of the wrong people and our table was never bused. And the waiter for the most part disappeared. As a matter of fact, we weren't asked if we wanted wine or a second drink until halfway through our meal. Limited acknowledgment of my birthday, and while not expected, no comp desert or anything. So incredibly disappointing for the money we spent. You can find good food anywhere, but service is what makes the difference, and this was a huge fail.

Great looking place with lots of potential, but they have a ways to go

BLOWN AWAY!!! From start to finish, we were so impressed! One of the best culinary experiences we’ve had in this area. The interior design of the place was jaw dropping, they even have a piano behind the bar. Hannah and Chance took great care of us at the bar, the drinks were delicious, food came out on time. My husband and I only get date nights every once in a while so we will definitely remember this one. We didn’t have a reservation and were able to easily get a seat at the bar around 7:30 on a Sunday night. We were immediately greeted by Hannah and we watched Chance absolutely KILL it in the service well while still taking care of us. I had the Filet Mjgnon and my husband had the New York Strip, we both agreed they were the best steaks we’ve ever had. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK CHOPHOUSE 285!!

Great steaks, and made the way you want it. I eat my steak charred-rare (Pittsburgh style.) It was a great cut, and cooked perfectly. They have an excellent selection of sides ( try the brussel sprouts!) I will definitely go back.

Dined with friends. Anna was an excellent server. Expected more from the steak cuts. Had larger fillet (MR) which had too much chew and bone-in ribeye that was thin. Two diners had sea bass which were thin (but tasty) fillets with lots of nut coating. Sauces and sides were very good. Very nice overall experience and want to go back for another try.... but my need to have the charge card prepared.

Great service Tara was her server & she was excellent. The food was great we had the special, fillet mignon, broccolini , lobster, mashed pototoes. Expensive but delicious.
It was my birthday so we thought they would have a free dessert, but no not yet. Got a tour with the meat & pasta. Great place!

Food was wonderful. It would be nice if they offered a side salad. Your only choice is to buy one of their $17 to $20 salads. Just offer a dinner salad on the side ala cart menu. The rather disappointing thing about the experience was that having made a reservation well in advance where I had asked to be seated in the main dining area but got stuck in what felt more like a lounge area near the front door where people checked in and waited on 2 big couches. It was a mix of 2 tops, low and high seating that had very uncomfortable chairs. The chairs hurt my back. It's apparent it you are only 2 people you get relegated to the after thought area. I seems they dont want to waste a 4 top table on 2 people. So when you make a reservation for 2 beware you maybe sat in what I feel is the undesirable part of the restaurant.
I loved that they had a piano player behind the bar. Unfortunately due to where we were seated we couldn't hear the music.
The bar area was large with nice seating.
The overall experience was ok but the seating situation downgraded the experience for me.

The salad was more than my appetizer...the salad was nothing but lettuce and dressing. I had to ask for parmeasan cheese but it still was too expensive for lettuce...being seated took a while placed in the side dining room, the chairs are so heavy no one could move them. Otherwise pretty good.

Everything is à la cart can be very expensive if you order salad bread, plus the meal

2nd time here. Once again service and food were great. Kaeley was a terrific server. Had the cookie for desert ... feeds 2 and was so good!! Escargot was best I ever had!
One suggestion from a NE transplant. Do not cook the lobster over wood burning grill, The smoke flavor overwhelms the Lobster taste. OK for steaks but not seafood.
