We popped in on the spur of the moment the other day for a quick snack and a drink while my friend was visiting. I hadn’t been back in over two years — the last time I popped my head in, it just didn’t appeal. But what a difference this time! We were thrilled to discover they’ve added a full tiki-style bar and dining area out back, complete with live music. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming — genuinely friendly and clearly proud to provide great service. We tried the blackened tuna and the Polish cabbage roll, and both were absolutely delicious. A special shoutout to our waiter, Landon, and the lovely Amelia — they really made the experience extra enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back, it is right down the street from me!

We recently visited Artur’s Restaurant in Englewood, FL. The place has an interesting atmosphere, and while the staff seemed friendly, the service was quite slow. What caught our attention was a large sign proudly advertising traditional Polish pork cutlets ("kotlety schabowe"). Naturally, we were excited to try them. However, to our surprise, the waiter informed us that the owner had decided not to serve this dish today — with no explanation given. This was especially confusing, since other meat dishes were still on the menu. Coincidentally, it was a Friday, which made us wonder if this had something to do with the Christian tradition of meatless Fridays. If that was the reason, it felt a bit unfair — perhaps even discriminatory — toward customers who are not Catholic or who simply wanted to enjoy a traditional dish. In the end, the food we did order was average at best. We left somewhat disappointed, both with the experience and the overall taste.

We had a party of 8, thoroughly enjoyed our time. Food and service were excellent, reasonably priced. Highly recommend it!

We came here for St.Patrick's day. We realized that most restaurants would be packed on such a popular day so we were prepared to wait. We were seated inside with less than a 15 minute wait. My friend and I ordered the corned beef dinner for $24 which was surprisingly very good and not salty. The tiki bar in the back was nice touch however they had a dj and no traditional Irish music. Other than that It was a delightful experience.

Good food and good service. I would suggest their jumbo fried shrimp, fried cod, and beef stroganoff. If you want to converse with your guests, stay away from the bar side, especially if they’re playing musical bingo or name that tune. On the Sunday night we were there, they also had an entertainer in the tiki patio. Once again, sit as far from him /her as possible.

I don't know why is it called polish restaurant to begin with. If you have any allergens check 5 times before even trying food since staff doesn't know the ingredients inside. Maybe for american standards it's good food but don't call it polish restaurant.

This was our first visit to Arturs. It was my husband, myself and our two kids. Our initial impression was a good one. Atmosphere for the most part was very nice minus all the cigarette smoke blowing our way.

Onto the food. For what we were charged, we were very underwhelmed and disappointed. I ordered the Beef Stroganoff. What I got was equivalent in quality, taste etc to a Banquet freezer meal. We will not be returning. Would not recommend for anything other than cocktails and social hour.

If I had written a review of Artur's after our first visit, it would have been four stars at least. The food was great, especially the Polish stew, and service was prompt and friendly. We are just home after a second visit in which it took two and a half hours to complete the meal. Apparently there was a party of 30 ahead of us. However, since we had a reservation, I have no sympathy. They should not accept a reservation at a time when they are unable to provide service. When after an hour and a half we finally got our entrees, they were not hot, there was much less stew in the Polish stew, and they forgot the bread that was supposed to go with the stew (which was okay because they kept serving us bread as we were waiting for our meal). We got free desserts and an offer of a round of drinks, but we are not big drinkers and one glass was enough.

I see that Artur's feels some of the delay was due to ordering entrees they were sold out of, but in fact we were not told they were out of the 10 oz porterhouse steak until we'd been waiting at least a half hour, so our order had not been placed until then. For the record, no one "demanded" that the larger steak we were offered (which also turned out to be unavailable) be at the same price as the other, but the person did ask if this was possible out of annoyance that it had taken all this time to find out it was unavailable. It may indeed have been "only" 45 minutes from the time the order was placed until we were served, but there were 45 minutes of waiting before that. We arrived at 6 and were served our lukewarm meal at 7:30.

It was a really unfun occasion and we were embarressed that we took our relatives there for what we thought we be a great meal. So I don't know what to advise. We had a great time on our first visit. Maybe you will too. But just be aware that they don't seem to know how to handle a crowd. Other restaurants either don't seat people they can't serve or advise them of the waIT.
