This was my second time here. I wasn't a fan of my first experience so I wanted to give them a second chance. I will say the people are very nice and definitely work as a team. I was disappointed to be given powdered tea (instant). The sides were a good size portion, which I appreciate. The brisket, while raved about by others, I found not very flavorful and my first thought was it almost seemed boiled. I also ordered collard greens which were uniquely seasoned, not my favorite. Very non-traditional. I love collard greens, I appreciate they were fresh greens, but the flavor of the actual greens was masked by everything else. The other sides were fine. I left feeling full, but disappointed. Also, the Styrofoam cups and throw away utensils were a bummer as I prefer more environmentally friendly options. Again, just my review. The people were nice and the items did seem fresh and homemade.

Food is okay. Pretty pricey for what you get.

Incredible food and great prices! Texas Best Barbecue catered the food for our son & daughter-in-law’s rehearsal dinner. We could not have been more pleased. Bob and Corey were super easy to work with and our guests raved about the scrumptious food. Great price, generous portions - highly recommend!

So tired of fake Google reviews this place is way overpriced. They charge you extra for everything and they even charge you extra to use your credit card stay away.

Great bbq. We lived in Texas and visited the BBQ spots between Austin, San Antonio, and Lockhart. While the brisket here doesn't match the best in Texas, it is as close as you will find in Southwest Florida. I enjoyed it and will return.

We were one of the first customers to ever eat at Texas best bbq. We moved but are in town and went here for lunch. Was told no ribs or no chicken. Was told they were firing up the smoker(at 1pm). Ordered two pork sandwiches and drinks($41). It was not edible. So disappointed! Use to be great! We were looking forward to eating but couldn’t even eat the sandwiches because they were soaked in grease. Clearly had been left over from previous day and reheated in crock pot or something similar. Even my boys wouldn’t eat it(they are teenagers). Maybe the owner needs to get involved and get food back to edible status.

This food was horrible! It tasted awful and like it was left out for days in a greasy crockpot. I use to love this place a few years ago I went there all the time so when I happen to go to Venice again I was exited but when I got there the smoker was broken the place was full of smoke and it cost 40$ just to get some sandwiches and chips for two people! I will never go here again I am very angry at this place and will never recommend it to anyone!
