BBQ is good but I wish that I didn't have to mortgage the house for a simple dinner. $34.00 is exorbitant for one persons meal. It's good, but not THAT good.

Excellent Texas Barbeque! Coming from a 100% Texan!
As a Texan with a constant craving for good BBQ, I've been disappointed by Florida's offerings – until I found this place. It's the only spot worthy of claiming to serve Texas BBQ. The brisket sandwich was phenomenal, with perfect flavor and juicy brisket. This place won’t serve you dry brisket like other local joints…. The service was excellent, and with the owners hailing from Texas, the Texas spirit shines through. It felt like a taste of home in Florida.

Super overpriced. The brisket was dry. Cornbread was weird. Green beans & the coleslaw were okay, but nothing I got was worth the price. Honestly tasted like leftovers. They do have a good Lemonade Tea(Arnold Palmer).

Stop by Texas BBQ last night blew away by expectations. Everyone work in there with so friendly explain the menu very well Family Recipes to the homemade sausage from Sarasota you could get platters you can get brisket I mean the big talk with the chicken fried steak I had a pass on the chicken fried steak because I love barbecue so I had a big bladder you get three sides three meats I substituted for the Burton's in St Louis ribs cuz I like the St Louis ribs for phenomenal also had the brisket what was very moist and smoked and everything was slow smoke in the smoker in the back which was phenomenal smoker and never seen nothing like it also I had onion rings that were homemade so everything is homemade in this place so the work and the prep that goes into everything there takes a lot of work that's why they're only open 4 days a week so we both split the $39 Big 3 thing I substituted some of the sausage but I couldn't we couldn't finish it all I still have a whole nother meal there and so now we can start talking about all the homemade desserts they have key lime pie meringue pie I had to go with this caramel Turtle pecan pie we broke into that later on at night cuz I was so full and that was some of the best Turtle pecan pie I never had anything like it so I give it 5 Stars across the board that kept coming back checking on my meals first soda they buy second first soda I buy second soda was on them so if you're in the area I definitely recommend stopping in here if you like barbecue in the sauce was homemade I'm going to talk about the barbecue sauce that was homemade from Family Recipe like everything else in this establishment

This either the 2nd or 3rd we have eaten here, but the first time in over a year. We split the 3 meat & 3 side platter. We had brisket, ribs, pulled chicken, collard greens, pinto beans, green beans & cornbread. Our favorite meat was the brisket with ribs 2nd & all the sides were good. The service & staff were very friendly.

Arrived last evening around 5:00, was promptly greeted with a big smile and a "Hello!" as I and my friend stepped inside! Seated immediately and warmly welcomed back by the owner. Service was awesome, food was awesome (I had sliced brisket, fried okra, collards, corn bread, and Texas sheet cake for dessert afterwards. Portions were huge and we brought home enough for lunch or dinner tonight!) Five Stars service and food (all of it made fresh on the premises daily)
