Sad to report Zekes just posted they are permanently closed. We were in for breakfast about month ago and was wonderful, as usual. Shortly after they "temporarily" closed for staffing issues. Now they closed permanently they say. Such a loss for our community. Best breakfasts ever. Will miss them.
We googled “best fish sandwich near me” and were led to Zeke’s redfish sandwich. I called for carryout around 11 a.m. and was told it would be 90 minutes, because they were setting up the kitchen. (???) Ok, I’ll wait for the best fish sandwich in Englewood. I walked in right at 12:30, watched a server carry my bag of food out and look around, and it was another 10 minutes before the bartender could track her down to give me my food. We found the sandwiches to be just ok....
Great service and atmosphere. Our party of 10 showed up with ten minutes to close ? we honestly didn’t realize it. They were more than accommodating and waited on us for an hour and a half. The nicest waiter, went over and beyond to make sure that our experience was a great one. The food was very delicious, that chef and his team are extremely talented. I recommend 1000x over! If you’re in Englewood, stop by Zeke’s; guaranteed to get amazing service and quality cuisine.
