A nice place, good food. The restaurant is way too noisy for my comfort. My order was wrong and the server blamed me. They make you pay extra for using a credit card. I won't be going back for those 3 reasons.
Service was just ok. However food was very good and the portions were enough to have left overs. We tried all the po-boys which came out great.
Went last night for dinner. 5 of us. No lobster tails, steaks or crabs. Seems like they were out of a lot of other things too. I got grouper. Was raw inside. Chicken was raw. Shrimp scampi had no taste.Grilledshrimp was good. Sides were nasty. Vegetables over cooked and very salty. The only good thing was the side salad. Server was good. Won't go back.
They were out of Everything. my fish was raw.my husband's chicken was raw. Vegetables over cooked. wasn't impressed. waitress was very nice. Didn't complain, just won't be going back.
I am so disappointed. We have come many times to CJs and have loved it every time. It's been maybe 4 months since the last time. I brought my sister visiting from up north. I told her they have the best shrimp and grits in the country. First I should say every time I had it before it was consistently fabulous and delicious. When the dish came to the table today it looked different but I was hopeful. Unfortunately the flavor was lacking. Compared to all of the other times I had this dish today it was like watered down flavor. The service was really good
Been thinking of trying CJ's for a while and have gotten a few recommendations from people I know. Finally got the chance to go and it was okay. It definitely wasn't bad but it wasn't really good or great. We ordered the calamari app. They were pretty crisp and tender, but they were salty and not much other flavor than just salt. And the $13 for a dozen calamari rings was a lot. My bf and I both got fish and chips. I upgraded to onion rings(when we got the bill I was charged $4 for a side of onion rings instead of what should have been a $3 upcharge). The fish was good, breading ended up a little soggy but not too bad. Coleslaw was very good. Fries were just okay. They didn't have the clam chowder my boyfriend ordered and he was disappointed by that but we understand things happen. We can't judge anything else on the menu because we just got basic fish and chips, but I have definitely had better fish and chips locally and for less money. Service was good, friendly waiter. We will probably give this place another try, maybe for a dinner date night when we want to spend more on fancier seafood.
Five of us went here and all wanted fried oysters. We were informed they didn't have any. We were disappointed but it made us try something different. If you haven't tried the seafood nachos, you must. Shrimp scampi, fried shrimp, fried scallops, all good. What was impressive is, I believe it was the owner, came by our table twice. First he asked how everything was and the second time, apologized for not having oysters and explained to us.Great atmosphere, good food and good service, even in these days. Having employee shortages.
Food was great. We enjoyed all the food we had. Had a party of 6 and everyone liked their meal. Although we did have a shellfish allergy which was hard to find something for that person. Did have a bit of an issue finding the location. Its on the corner and has two doors; one side is a bar and the other is the restaurant.
So first time here, our appetizer was good it had a nice crunch. Fish n chips were just ok, but were made with a cheaper cut of fish tho, french fries were good , Also ordered the double lobster tail and it was good, the side salad was good and made with upscale lettuce not ice burg! but unfortunately the other 2 sides I choose were less than stellar, the cheese grits which they say they are famous for were like have grits from a cheap diner and the veggie medley was very water logged and totally unseasoned.
First visit in Aug 2021. Busy night, service was okay but food was excellent.Second visit in Jan 222. Busy nice, good service. Terrible food. I ordered one of the seafood books. Potatoes mushy and watery, shrimp flavorless, crab legs flavorless and cold in parts. Spent a lot of $ for very sub-par food.

I absolutely loved the food, the staff, and the experience. The portions were a good size for the money. We will definitely come back.
Amazing food! Delicious hot juicy fish! Everything was perfect! We love the boating ease also.
The chicken I had was excellent. My husband's Maui Maui was also excellent as was my sister's scallops. You get 2 sides and a salad with an entree. Great value for the money. Our server Nick was excellent. We enjoyed the wine in the bar while waiting for the theater. A good experience that we will repeat.
They have good variety in the menu and some good appetizers including the crabcakes which my mother loves and she’s very picky and my favorite fried pickles. I had the grilled shrimp my brother had crab legs, both good. The salad was great and lots of side options. The service was good but it took a long time for the food so definitely get an appetizer if your going on a busy night.
We absolutely loved this place! The food was so delicious and they give you plenty of it. We had the seafood nachos as an appetizer. We could have split it as a meal for both of us. I can’t remember the name of the other dish we ordered, but my goodness! It was so good! The service was great. The only complaint we had about our service was she didn’t warn us about how much food we were ordering ?. We took leftovers home and enjoyed them the next day. The owner was very attentive as well. We’ll definitely be back here.
