Where to begin with this train wreck of an experience........found this place on Google, it had good reviews, so we rode our Harley trike over for breakfast ( we came from Lady Lake). The parking lot itself looks sketchy, but it's in a strip mall, so we try to overlook that. Walk in, 2 couples in front of us waiting to be seated. After 20 minutes, the first couple gets seated. Another 10 minutes and the couple in front of us decides to leave and the waitress looks at us and directs us to a table. She gives us menus, we ask.for recommendations and she's gone. A few minutes later, she comes back and we ordered drinks and food both, since we wanted to get an order in. 20 minutes later, the blonder waitress comes to see if we've been waited on, since we still don't even have coffee or water!!! We told her the dark haired girl took our order and never returned with drinks. She at least got us the beverages!!!!!! We consumed a cup of coffee, before a woman in a gray t-shirt brought us a refill. By now, it's 45 minutes and no sign that we're ever getting food!! Still haven't had a check in from our original waitress and we watch the table seated before us leave, because they're tired of waiting for food!!!! At this point we decide to leave also. Where was the "Southern Hospitality" being touted on their social media?! Luckily, we found the Countryside Diner and had a fabulous breakfast there!!!! ? My wish for Jeannie's is that they learn how to run a restaurant. It doesn't matter how tasty your food is, if the service is a nightmare folks won't come back! I know we certainly won't be back after this morning's experience on 9/15/24.

Where to begin the debacle...
Never seen such a absolute cluster of nonsence.
Spent the first 15 min at the door not even a " hi
Then finally get to oder along with coffee and water..
Nope 20 more min , different person comes for the 1 cup of coffee..
35 minutes later we left along with another couple..
Where the hell is managment!! Omg!
3rd graders would do better, the 1 good thing by having to leave and change course is we found a restaurant on the 19 and 44 intersection that knocked it out of the park, what a difference...friendly service, obvious engaged manager..
There needs to really be a " Jeannie" to get this in order here..
1 and done..

Was in Tavares for 2 days at the Courthouse and gave Jeannie’s II a try. Assume it’s the same owner as Jeannie’s nearby. 1st day food took forever to be served. I ordered just a chicken salad on a croissant. Waited 30 mins and then walked out. Went back the 2nd day and right at the lunch hour there was nobody to seat anyone. Some servers walking around but nobody really noticed anyone at the podium. I had to wave down a a server to get seated at a dirty table. Just bad news all around. I finally got a server and asked that she clean the table. She did and then took my drink order with her tablet. Then came back and took my order: no fanfare, not apologies for the dirty table nothing. Got my food in a reasonable amount of time and that was the end of the service experience. She disappears and never came back to refill my drink. Wasn’t impressed with the service: they all need some leadership there as there wasn’t any obvious.
The food was tasty and I enjoyed the breakfast sausages and sausage gravy. I could tell they're not your normal store-bought stuff and it really did taste well. My wife had a burger and she said it was just fine and the french fries were nothing special just crinkle-cut fries. She said they were crispy and tasty but she asked for ranch and it was pretty much just craft ranch squirted in a cup. She did point out that they didn't have butter they only had whipped spread and little plastic containers on the table. And that really kind of you know puts us off on taste. The decor of the place is really not good. The colors very dark the walls were painted with a flat paint so all the splatters could be seen on the walls and you can't exactly wipe those down on that type of paint finish. We could see into the kitchen and it just wasn't appealing to see.

The food is great, and portion sizes are decent. The food came out fast and fresh. The service and staff were nice and attentive. They have affordable prices, and they have seating available for groups. They also have outdoor seating and mimosas. It's such a cute place!
Vegetarian options: They have veggie omelet and oatmeal.
Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu.

We were traveling through the area and found this place on google maps and so happy we stopped. Lovely atmosphere, good food, good prices and good portions. 100% recommended. Staff was very friendly and fast for the amount of people we had.

Went for breakfast and we were surprised that you could order lunch at the same time. The hungry Man breakfast was really good I enjoyed the sausage the sausage gravy was homemade and good and the sausage links were unique so I knew that they weren't store-bought. The hamburger was cooked well and they were your standard crinkle cut fries that went with it. So overall food is probably four out of five because I like this type of fair, but the place just didn't seem that inviting. Dark colors on the walls poor choices of decorations we had a clear shot of watching the kitchen and that wasn't too pleasing to see. Because there is a lack of places to go I would go there for the food again but my wife was not pleased with the condition of the dining area and seeing the kitchen. So she wouldn't want to take a trip back.
