The food was okay. We went on 9/7/2025 and ordered at 1:30 pm the place was not that busy and our waiter didn't put the order in until 2pm. I know this because I watched him. We won't be back.

Decided to stop by The Troff this week for dinner when a seafood craving hit. The food was excellent in my opinion. I ordered the seafood combo which came with fish, shrimp, and clam strips. The service was good, but a little slow, likely because there were only a few employees working up front that day. I would definitely come back when I have another seafood craving.

I was a little disappointed, the oysters were tiny, the redfish was average, rice and beans was very good, didnât care for the Cajun potatoes. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. My wife had fried clams and onion rings and liked them.

One of the best restaurants in lake county! The food, atmosphere, servers and owners are awesome!
Food was excellent. Our party got the seafood combo. Fried shrimp was excellent. It was raw oyster night. My husband loved them. I got the mussels in spicy sauceâŠexcellent. Service was fantastic; kitchen was slow, but the wait was worth it. Will be back!

An unpretentious, small fish and oyster bar that has been around for many years. The food is good, with big portions. You can ask about Gluten free dishes, and they will accomodate. Informal and relaxed atmosphere. They have Bucket day on Saturdays. Fair prices.

When my friend and I first arrived at The Troph, we were greeted by a lovely bartender who was very sweet and attentive, which started our visit off on a great note. Unfortunately, the experience quickly shifted when a woman named Laurie came in, possibly for a shift change. Her demeanor was noticeably rude not only in how she addressed us as customers, but also in how she interacted with the other staff. While I understand that the delay in receiving our oysters (which took over an hour) may not have been directly her fault, her negative attitude certainly made the wait feel even worse. It was disappointing, especially since it was my first time visiting and I was genuinely excited to try the place. We werenât the only ones who chose to close our tab abruptly several other patrons seemed to make the same decision around the same time. I hope management takes this feedback into consideration, because the initial service was wonderful, and itâs a shame that it was overshadowed by poor customer service from one individual.
