The Crazy Gator in Eustis is a VIBE. Came out to watch football and everything was on point. The wings were insanely good — perfectly crispy with amazing sauces.
Prices were great. Fair… which you don’t see very often these days.
The staff is next-level friendly and welcoming. Even during their staff holiday party, we were taken care of nonstop. The outside bar area is full of great people and awesome energy.
Huge shoutout to Tamika (hopefully I got that right 🫣) — she was funny, kind, and made the whole experience even better by actually taking the time to connect with us while serving. Absolute gem.

The only good attribute this restaurant has is its views of the lake. We waited over an hour for our food, appetizer included, just to be served cold. The “smash” burger ordered was far from smashed and was not prepared how it was ordered. Perhaps if it was served hot those things could have been ignored. The person smoking a cigar was also a huge turn off - granted it was the outside patio but still, gross! There is so much potential for this establishment but the ownership/management just don’t seem to care. I guess when you cater to the snowbirds and tourists who cares about local repeat customers….

Came in with my boyfriend and our daughter. We waited for the person at the front for a couple minutes to even acknowledge us before saying we could sit anywhere. We sat down at a table and waited another 15 minutes for a waitress to even come over and greet us. We ordered some drinks and it took another 20 minutes for them to come out. Then when we were about to order, we were told they were out of multiple things on the menu. I dont understand why we werent told about that before getting our drink orders in the first place. We ordered from what they had and another 30 minutes later we still hadnt gotten our food and our waitress didnt even come back to give us an update at all either. We ended up just leaving because parties that were in there before us STILL hadnt gotten their food either. Honestly horrible overall. And this is coming from someone who also works in the serving industry. The service was appalling.

We have always liked the Crazy Gator the food, atmosphere, and the staff but Friday night it was not a good night, it was not busy, but It took 40 minutes to get our appetizer, the waitress didn't come to the table to see if we needed more drinks our dinner took 1 hrs. 15 minutes to get out to us. There was another table that came in after we did that had the same waitress they had their food before we did. Our food was over done and not hot. Bad all the way around that night...too bad we used to enjoy coming in there not so much now....
Waited forever for our appetizer first off the pickles we’re definitely old not cooked when we ordered them and so greesy they were nasty the service was unfortunately terrible waited an hour for our food and they were even busy like that! Haven’t been here in 9 years and I guess it will be another 9 years!!

A real disappointment. We've been here in the past and have enjoyed the food and the surroundings, but the place is deteriorating.
From the overgrowth at the entrance to tavern and torn upholstery in one booth wiggly tables in another.
The food was average or below average. The lunch took forever to deliver
The fish in the wrap was not properly cooked and the bun on the average Philly cheesesteak was soggy by the time it came to the table.
The coffee though brewed custom for me was horrible. Undrinkable the waitress said it's probably the brand.
This should be off our list with so many other choices here in Eustis.

Had lunch as a group at Cray Gators today. 49-59 people. Only 2 waitresses should had at least 3. Their where 7 at my table. 3 got their meal in a somewhat reasonable amount of time. The other 4 waited another half hour before we received our food. 4 out of 7 at our table receive our orders wrong. Mine, I ordered a med-rare burger with the lettuce, tomato & onion on the side with a small cup of mayo and fries for the side. I got a smashed burger, well done with the lettuce, tomato & onion on top with oil dribbled over it, no mayo and cold fries. Needless to say I will never return to this place again. Darrin
