Came here after going on an Everglades boat ride. Super friendly staff. Clean restaurant. Had the gator bites and the grouper sandwich. The gator bites were fine, but mostly a novelty and didn't thrill me too much; but the grouper sandwich had incredibly fresh grouper, which was a great surprise. Phenomenal.

Others in the group had the burger, which was huge and they also enjoyed.

Definitely recommend.

Incredibly delicious! Grouper cooked so perfectly that tartar sauce is not needed. Yummy french fries, and the best, most fresh tres leches I’ve ever tried. The servers and owners are so friendly, kind, and welcoming. We will be back!

Excellent service and excellent food. Very clean. It was September 1st, so no crowds of old people yet. The food was some of the best Cuban style I have ever had. It's very expensive and the tip is included in the price.

When mother and son both come to the table and engage in pleasant conversation while explaining the great menu that they have, well it can’t be much better than that, right. WRONG. With the father, Captain Morgan himself, in the kitchen doing the cooking it gets even better. Do yourself a favor and drive to Everglades City to experience Captain Morgan’s Seafood Grill. You will not be disappointed!!!

The food was delicious and cooked perfectly. The fish and everything Else was clearly very fresh and had a homemade style to the cooking. Was very surprised how good the food was for such a small town feel. Staff was super friendly with us and our kids and was clearly a family run restaurant which had a homely atmosphere. Will definitely be back next time I am in the area. This spot is a must!

I visited on 8/21. A lazy Thursday evening. Even though there were not many people around because it was a Thursday and it's really off season and even though I wasn't very hungry I stopped to eat. Good decision for me. I got the grouper sandwich with fries. $30 including the tip. The fish was very fresh, it was Gag Grouper or White Grouper. The gentlemen said the fish came from their uncle's boat in Punta Gorda. The place was spotless clean (bathrooms too!) with really cool floors. I really wanted to get the flan but just wasn't hungry enough. Chokoloskee Island and Everglade City is just about as far as an automobile can get in southwest Florida except for the keys. I saw a lot of complaints about the price in the reviews... and it is a little pricey but not that bad considering how far into the everglades this is and food is prepared well. If you are coming this far there isn't much out here. Don't complain about the prices or tipping please when you can drive about an hour to McDonalds in Venice. ☺

A hidden gem in Everglades City! I visited in May and had the grilled snapper, it was absolutely delicious, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. What made the experience even better was meeting the owners; they are truly wonderful people, warm and welcoming, which makes you feel right at home.
One of the things I loved the most is that if you catch your own fish, you can bring it here and they will cook it for you and serve it with traditional sides. That’s something you don’t find everywhere and it makes the experience unforgettable.
The place has a cozy, family atmosphere and authentic flavors that reflect true Cuban hospitality. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Everglades City or Chokoloskee.

We’ve enjoyed the best authentic Cuban cooking here time and time again. From the impeccable cleanliness of the restaurant to the rich, delicious flavors, this place is truly a hidden gem in Everglades City. Mogan, Maggie, and Andres serve up some of the most amazing dishes—everything from perfectly crispy tostones to incredible seafood delights. Don’t forget the Captain Marks Fiesta it’s a sampler of a number of dishes.

You simply can’t go wrong here.

Insider tip: Don’t leave without trying their coffee and desserts—they’re absolutely phenomenal. If you’re in the area, stop in and enjoy some truly delicious food and genuine hospitality in this little paradise tucked away in the heart of the Everglades.
