My new Grand Highlander was hit in their parking lot. The owner and her son recommend that I not notify the police to get a report for insurance purposes but to work it out with the person that hit my vehicle causing $3,000 in damages. The person that hit my car suggested that I could just wipe off the damages or accept a couple hundred dollars. The persons insurance will only cover half the cost of my repair. Most expensive lunch I have ever had!!! Why would the owner defer me from making a police report? They made me out to be the villain when my car was hit while I was inside their restaurant. The food was good but very expensive.
The gator bites were $23 and it was a small portion for the money. I ordered fish and chips and they sent out a fish sandwich that was really chewy. the fries were good. They also forced a 20% tip on the bill so for Gator bites, fries a fish sandwich (even though I ordered fish and chip and fries and two beers it was $83.
The resturant is family owned and operated, The food, service and atmosphere were great.

Beautiful marina location super clean very accommodating immediately seated and received constant service. Lobster roll was delicious and served with homemade chips we had a seafood platter and crab legs all top notch drinks were on point. There are many places on island but this one has a different feel unrushed and small town friendly. I understand why Cap Morgans is my niece favorite restaurant in Miami.

We went in with hopes just to have a decent dinner before heading back to Miami. Food was excellent! Freshly made and truly good quality. And DO NOT miss desert: Tresleches and/or flan. The best ever, I am not kidding.

I love this place and the owners. We came here after fishing all day and we arrived an hour before closing the owners accommodated us and served us with a big smile. More importantly I had the best pork chops of my life! It was so good we came back the next night and ordered them again! We came here during an off season so I there wasn’t many people hence I can’t speak for the atmosphere. I would love to come back here again.

***** - SOME OF THE BEST SEAFOOD IN AMERICA - *****
What a fabulous experience. Here we are in the middle of the Everglades, in Everglade City, Florida, and we stumble upon an immaculate and extraordinary seafood restaurant that totally captured EVERY taste bud with a magical infusion of flavor.
We have both eaten at some of the finest seafood establishments in America, and Captain Morgan's Seafood Grill is, for me, a top 5 in the entire country. TRUE. SO AMAZING!
Why?! The food is incredibly fresh and magnificently flavored and absolutely so FABULOUS I was almost contemplating moving to the Everglades so I could dine every day. I had the Wild Caught Shrimp Tostones as an appetizer, and the Sailor Baked Whole Snapper. Snapper was just slightly crusty on the outside and so moist and wonderfully delicious. My friend had the Captain's Signature Seafood Enchilado (Mariscada) Plate which was filled with the freshest shellfish and treasures from the sea and covered with a choice sauce that was both aroma and the taste of heaven with a unique, light Latin spice.
We met owner Chef Morgan, his wife Maggie, and son Andres, Cuban Americans, who are walking smiles of fulfillment as they share their culinary masterpieces and create joy in their clientele. There is also a really fun ice cream and coffee bar, and what looks like great deserts, though we used all of our "empty space" for the seafood.
I promise you, this is a must, must visit. I have a son at the University of Miami, and I am definetly taking him and friends on a road trip to the Everglades... more to visit Captain Morgan's again, than for the great Everglades tours!
Vegetarian options: Morgan is totally accommodating and can make fabulous vegetarian dishes
Dietary restrictions: Chef Morgan is both very professional and very caring as is his wife Maggie, son Andres and staff, and certainly are able to tailor their cuisine to meet dietary restrictions
Parking: Abundant parking
Kid-friendliness: Truly fantastic for kids. After this incredible meal, there is a very "happy," bright, totally tempting ice cream and coffee bar that appeals to kids AND the "kid" in all of the adult patrons
Wheelchair accessibility: Easy wheelchair access

The food is absolute delicious. The server informed about the grouper fish and how it will be made and how much time it will take. I respect the information and time. Fish turned out to be amazing. Also they gave me espresso on the house while i was waiting for my food. I highly recommend this place and people who make this place a must eat at everglades.

We’ve always wanted to visit Everglades city and while we were there, we wanted to grab a Cuban coffee. We found this great place right on the circle in the middle of town. The atmosphere is very inviting in the staff is very nice. Would highly recommend you stop in for coffee, lunch or dinner. We will definitely be back for the stone crabs in late October.
